really good article--just lost a friend to cancer (not prostate)--he went through a couple rounds of chemo knowing the odds were against him (he was a doctor in a related field himself) and then just decided to die, having made it through a couple of family milestones he wanted to see; wise! he got to say goodby in reasonable ways to all of us, sad goodbyes to be sure but under his control

Nice article. Catch phrase Big Pharma seemed to indicate a little bias. I live in a right to die state, and hope that I can recognize when the time has come, and be mentally and physically able to do it ... with the drugs from Big Pharma. For now, I wish everyone a great weekend!

Which drugs would be the most effective (works and are almost painless) in aiding a quiet, peaceful death ?? Sleeping tablets, I guess, but what in what qty and how quickly ?? Any brand names easily available over the counter ??

I could pose this question to the board as a new question, if it is tolerated here.

No one answering my question will bear any responsibility whatsoever. Thank you very much indeed.

I do not know. Maybe an asp if you can find one. California is physician assisted. Apparently physician reluctance, and the rules and paperwork are so complex, many just jump off a bridge. Hoping the Lu-177 is starting to finally help you.

Thank you for the reply. Yes, jumping off a really tall structure is a possibility.

However, I would like to go off in style :-) Take maybe 100 powerful sleeping tablets, drink some excellent Scotch and play some great classical music while lying on my super comfortable bed. Fade into oblivion.

Cheers, monte1111 !!!

As regards Lu-177, my next PSMA PET-CT scan is scheduled for next Saturday, 17th of August. My next PSA test is on Tuesday the 13th of August. Between the two, especially the scan, I should get a definite idea whether Lu-177 has comprehensively failed with me or otherwise. Lets see. I am in no panic whatsoever. Next step ??? Perhaps, AC-225 in South Africa or maybe even Australia or Germany. Checked my finances. Can manage.

Cheers, monte1111 !! Que Sera Sera !!!
