Why, despite the fact that I’ve never met a one of you, do I feel this incredible kindred spirit with the whole lot you. So many now believe that kindness, dignity, caring and warmth are passé. Especially for strangers. But let them spend a couple of hours on this site and you will never think that again. The warmth, empathy and caring shown on this site for people that do not even know each other, many of whom are suffering themselves, is a true testament that there are still plenty of good.....no great human beings left on this planet. You would think that those not doing as well might be envious of those doing better. But it’s so obvious that is not the case. We all cheer each other , advise each other, laugh with each other and love each other. If that’s not a family, I have no idea what is. And as one Forrest Gump once said,
“And that’s all I have to say about that”!!

Wonderfully said. So many times in this world, we see examples of man's inhumanity to his fellow man... Here, we see people offering, advice, encouragement, and hope,....

When one suffers, we all suffer...we try and find answers for each others problems and along the way pass on Knowledge and ....humor... For laughter is the best medicine....

As Schwah says, this site shows incredible fellowship and warmth. I have two theories. You decide if I'm being 100% facetious: #1- I note that many message boards (not just politics) start with respectful posts but rapidly degenerate into guys calling each other stupid or otherwise insulting each other. Is one reason we're so nice on this site associated with our meds that decrease a certain hormone? #2 - For the same reason, maybe some of us are spending less computer time looking at sites with naked women and more time looking at sites like this one?

I do not think we could have won WWII with the current lot.... They were the greatest generation...winning a 2 front war.....something most military experts say is nearly impossible.... and gave so many lives..... we will never see their like again....
