... How would your treatment plan change? Are there doctors you would talk to? Tests you would do? Treatments you'd pursue?
If money, time and effort were no obj... - Advanced Prostate...
If money, time and effort were no object...
money is no object with me. I don't have any, the choices are easy !! y ahaay ayay aha my insurance ( Kaiser ) provider hooked up onc doc took me from 1400 to 0.2 in 5 1/2 months. I don't think I would change a thing for now ... unless a genetically tagged " cure " came along and I'd jump for that.
I'm in the same boat. I spent $30K per year from 2001 to 2015 on my cancer and now I have no money left to worry about. I also have Kaiser and my onco wants me to do something, anything, but my PSA went from 8.23 to 5.32 in 3 months using homeopathy for cancer (Banerji Protocol). Before starting with homeopathy my doubling time was 3.8 months and is was expecting my next PSA test to be somewhere in the 14 - 16 area. Now my PSA is dropping for the first time since my surgery in 2015. It's cheap, and it is working, which annoys the hell out of the onco.
when I accept a onc doc for treatment , I see it as medical , ethical and moral responsibility - commitment , where the onc doc agrees basically to accept responsibility for your life and it requires a lot of trust both ways ( if he does it wrong it can kill you ). thats a big deal. ultimately tho , each of us is responsible for our own lives and enjoys the freedom to deal with it as we see fit. if it weren't for my onc doc I would most surely be dead right now ... I was very close to death when my ADT treatment started nearly 6 months ago. I'm also certain that nothing I could have done on my own would have prolonged my life nearly as well as the ( $15,000 - $20,000 a month ) ADT treatment - total care I'm currently receiving. I don't have the training and experience a onc specialist has, nor access to the blood labs, nuclear scanners, pain meds etc.. for now he is getting wonderful results for me. still .... if anyone wants to have at it themselves thats their right of responsibility ... ultimately they can say " I did it my way " !!! no matter what the outcome would be. plus it's a spiffy looking saying when etched on the shiny name plate on your urn !! y ahaya ahay ahaay ah your own mileage may vary ....
also : it's worth saying that my wife is also in the medical world and is both knowledgeable and has access to some of the best PCa information - advice on the west coast ( UCSF S.F. ) she would never ever let me treat myself with willow bark, mandrake root and eye of newt ... she would kick my a$$ all the way to Kaiser and back half a dozen times ... mentioning how it's not just about me ... it's about all those around me that love me and that I have a responsibility to them as well. she's in my face 24 / 7 about my treatments , medications , pain management and all the rest. she's my caregiver and a bull dog with teeth if I mess up in her view .... just say'in. yahaya ahay aaha a
my out of pocket cost for my treatment is around $180 a month, co-pays, of the actual $15,000 - $20,000 a month's worth of care I receive. my insurance picks up all the rest. I'm a retired biomedical engineer and my wife still works in the medical field helping provide tertiary care for patients with more serious medical issues. that said, then naturally both of us are strongly inclined towards established conventional medical practice. alternative medical practices are fine if anyone is inclined to pursue them , like I said ... ultimately you are responsible for your own life when all is said and done. it's whatever works for you. I'm the captain of my own ship ......... whenever my wife lets me steer for a little while.
I can't say, I'm afraid, as money, time and effort were (and are) in fact limited. I wonder how many are in the same situation.
I would most certainly be talking with a prostate cancer specialist outside of my medical group. If recommended, would jump in my private jet and head for Germany. For now, just listening to some of the great stories posted in last day. Hope their are many more.
I'd hire someone to bump off my ex-wife.............👀

loool, probably the best answer here, I understand you so much. I think I've already encountered kinda similar survey. I actually consult with yourmoneygeek.com/surveys-f... before taking online surveys. I'm not that person who can easily share his experience and opinion, especially when it comes to children and motherhood. I work for Opinion Outpost and I suggest you look through the link I provided in order to find the same part time job. It brings you joy as you help people and your vote is heard as well. Combo!
I think you know my shrink........(or you're him incognito)...

I SEE Claude Rains
See Ellis Island records:
Name Claude Rains
Ship's Name Saint Louis
Date of Arrival September 12, 1915
Passenger number 100377080194, Frame 518, line number 27
It appears that this was Mr. Rains and his first wife's first arrival here in the U.S. Mr. Rains may have passed through Ellis Island again but I did not bother to research when. Mr. Rains became a U.S. citizens in 1939.

Ha ha ha ha
We'd continue treating with Epigenetic treatments ($10K/mo), combined with UCSF and Germany. All of the things we've been doing to get good results and no side effects. But the loss of my husband's job means the loss of the epigenetic treatments. Will still continue with UCSF and Germany! And we'd add off label PARP inhibitors (BRCA2+) which are $15k/mo if not castrate resistant. And LU-177 in Germany out of pocket.
We'd add mistletoe again which we stopped because of cost and is proven in many studies plus widely used in other countries. And keep up the RSO suppositories! Hitting it from all angles has worked very well for us.
We already have a FAR infrared sauna & PEMF mat in our arsenal.
Money is no object for my husband, but we seem to be at the end of our options. You can have all the money in the world, but without health, you have nothing.
