I'm living a close to normal life thanks to Zytiga/Lupron/Prednisone. Pain free and loving it. At 78 years old I take life one day at a time and feel very grateful to God for giving me this extra time.

PSA 3800 to 0.03 in 19 Months
PSA dropped dramatically at beginning, almost exponential (50% every month for a while. Then a continuing decrease---never rose once. I get lab tests every month.
Congratulations, that is incredible!!🥂🍾
I had a similar experience on this combination. PSA dropped from 571 to immeasurable within 12 weeks! I’ve just had my 6 monthly PSA test and it’s still immeasurable after 7.5 years. No dietary changes or supplements, other than the recent addition of statins, after reading of their positive effects on PCa.
I hope you have the same long term response as I’ve had. Good Luck.
Thanks for the good wishes. I'm 78 and wouldn't have expected much more time even if I hadn't gotten prostrate cancer. But I sure enjoy every extra day!
"other than the recent addition of statins, after reading of their positive effects on PCa."
I was not aware of this. My ADT has caused my blood pressure to go up 25 points on the top end, and my cholesterol, which has always been boarder line on a very healthy diet, is now high. I see my GP tomorrow. I was worried about taking other medications as taxing the liver, but if statins also help with Pca, then I am less concerned.
Just curious, when you say "pain free", can we assume you had pain at diagnosis and it went away with treatment? If so, how long did that take?
Congrats on your excellent results! I'm having similar luck with lupron and docetaxel, but still have pain and suspect it's a side effect.
I made a trip to emergency for reasons unrelated to cancer (that problem was solved), and the emergency room examination led to my diagnosis of Stage 4 metastatic prostrate cancer which had already spread to my arms, spine, ribs, and a nearby lymph node. The only real pain I have experienced so far was about 10 days of recovery from a not-too-gentle prostrate biopsy. Some hot flushes occur daily which I just consider 'the cost of doing business'.
I kept going well because of my faith. Read the Bible daily and even have put one on my website (scripture, concordance, Hebrew and Greek dictionaries, and my own search engine). Also found a lot of comfort reading books, especially ones written by Billy Graham.
I trust God to care for me. He has shown me he cares by having me go to the emergency room, get diagnosed, and providing me with an excellent Medicine Oncologist.
Thank Goodness your'e an underscore and not a dash IDer.. Dash Id's frighten me. At First I thought your ID was an old telephone number but I looked it up (thank you goggle). See below:
Paul’s words in his epistle to the Romans are among the most well-known and most quoted in the Bible:
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28.
