What specific Medical Marijuana do you use

I am relatively new to MM. I have severe muscle spasms due to a spinal injury, as well as PC. I have tried RSO. I would prefer not to smoke stuff. Prefer edibles although I could vape. I am looking for specific recs. For example, ginja gummy bears, or???

Any feedback on what to try in my situation would be appreciated.

I use a strain called Echo, it is high in CBD and well as THC, and CBD is especially good for pain, spasms, and sleeping.

I prefer not to smoke as well. I make an olive oil extract (far safer than the toxic solvents used in many RSO products, IMNSHO) and have it tested at a lab, so I know what I'm taking. Then I fill capsules with the dose I've found works best for me. No smoking, and I know exactly what I am getting. When conditions suggest I need more, I can take more capsules.

Sometimes my extraction ends up too low in CBD: I can buy concentrated CBD products from the dispensary, and mix it into the olive oil extract to bring it up to the right ratio.

I get good advice from a MM doctor, Harvard Med School, who specialized in this field after working in the VA. He noticed that most of his patients self-medicated, but the ones who used cannabis did much better.

If it were me, I would talk to a knowledgeable doc about this. The people in the dispensaries are mostly untrustworthy, although there are a few exceptions. My doc recommended the specific dose, the ratio of CBD to THC, and the extraction method.

I prefer vaping to edibles as it's a much easier way to start. When inhaled, you know the effect in a few minutes and can take more if needed. With edibles it can take a couple hours to get the full effect, so it takes much longer to find the right dose.

Also, the vape I use has all the active ingredients from the strain, while the edibles I've seen only have THC or CBD. It's all the other ingredients that give each strain its particular effect.
