Men’s Health Magazine featured me in a PCa article
Great piece, Todd! Your story is an inspiration to everyone with APC.
Just read the article - You rock. I'm about a year and 3 months into this rollercoaster. You are definitely my inspiration for beating this disease and how I need to live my life. Keep up the good fight. - Tom
Great article...you've rode the rollercoaster...great attitude...congratulations and best of luck

That is just awesome!!!
Congrats Todd, great writeup of your story. That was a good line "“They say people faced with death have two chances: pick up gloves or pick up a shovel,”... a good motto to live by. I hope things keep going well.
Hi Todd,
This a great read for everyone getting the dreaded PCa diagnosis!
The article offers an easy read than medical journals, the story line touches all aspects of the disease and treatment scenarios.
After reading it all, one will understand the spectrum from prognosis to outcome, basically the outcome is "it depends"...
Great article. Here’s to you and Mandy!
What an inspiring story .. thank you!
Love the article and your willingness to share your journey!
God bless you, Todd! What changes did you make in your daily life(food, activities)? God helps (only)if you help yourself. You're an inspiration and Mandy is a Saint!
Not too many changes. I started drinking Pom almost every day. I began to supplement with calcium, vitamin D, and Pau D’ Arco. You can google it. My diet hanged a little. We started eating mostly organic. What little beef and pork I eat is free range ant antibiotic free. Most protein comes from wild game or wild caught fish. That’s about it. The most important thing I ever did was to not be a victim and choke all the life out of every day.
Great article Todd, starting my new journey with Zytiga and progene, I feel a little more confident now. Hope many years more for you and Mandy.
Great article- explains everything pretty clearly. I'm sending to friends and family who keep asking specifics about Pca 😊
You and Mandy sound perfectly matched. Here's to many years together!
That is a great story and gives so much hope. It is also extremely informative and I will be sharing the hell out of it.
The fight we face is also a part of our journey, and the story of yours is an inspiration.
Congrats and wishing you all the strength, courage and love you need. Enjoy the rest of your journey, for many years to come.
Mark
Great story! Rock on!
Great. Hope and inspriation to keep the gloves on in the valleys we encounter
Well Todd, two words “Hoooolly Sh$&”. Glad you picked up those gloves and fought. Being diagnosed at 44 (now 60), I think I’ve extra
Emphathy for my brothers diagnosed young like you and I. Keep up the good work.
Great article and amazing story, Todd. As we say here in Carolina Panthers territory, Keep Pounding!
Wow! You should be a movie. And the glove hat picture should surely be January or February in the Prostate Cancer Calendar. If someone would print it for cost, and all profits went to malecare, I'm sure Nalakrats could run it up to $100,000. And you bought your wife a boat? I find that mildly suspicious.
The way the story really went was this. I was still Gorked on the adavant or whatever it was they gave during the My last Provenge infusion. My wife was driving me home and I had her take a detour. When we rounded the corner the boat was in full view. She looked at me and said. “No”I said come on honey it will be GFMPH (good for my Prostate health) and I promise to live long enough to pay it off. We took it home a couple hours later
I just knew it! "Come on Honey, lets take this detour. Oh, wow, imagine that, what a gorgeous boat." Reminds me of the old days when wife used to lure me into jewelry shops. "Oh, wow, what a gorgeous necklace." Keep that propeller turning at max speed!
Todd, I really enjoyed this read. Thank you for posting it for all of us to share.
Great story.... but who's that ugly guy in all the pictures....
Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.

I told your story to my husband when I read it on this forum- You ARE our inspiration. It is such a hard journey, congratulations and best of luck to you and everyone else in this group!!!
Hey Todd, I just read your article, very inspirational. I was diagnosed metastatic PCA age 49, with many bone mets. I became castration resistant in 18 months (that was nearly 18 months ago) and since then, my cancer has morphed into small cell and spread to my lungs. I decided to fight from the get go, but many times, I found it exhausting and thought about giving in to it, but your article has inspired me to keep fighting. I truly loved your quote...“They say people faced with death have two chances: pick up gloves or pick up a shovel,” Seals says. “I’ve always been a fighter.” I hope you get your 30 years (I hope I do too)!
Thanks for sharing . Very inspirational for my newly diagnosed best friend . I passed the story to him.
Dope is so Lit....
Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.
