Hi,
I wonder if anyone can give any advice on hesitancy which is getting worse (especially at night)? My husband started HT tablets 2-3 weeks ago and had his first injection on Wednesday so don't understand why it's getting worse on treatment

Please define "hesitancy" ?? Are we talking about slow or difficult urination ?
I'm just guessing that the testosterone surge at the start of Lucrin caused his prostate to enlarge and blocked the flow. The pills should prevent that, but maybe didn't. If that's the cause, his flow should improve quickly over the next few weeks. If his flow stops completely, he has to go to the ER to get catheterized.
I found that 1 ibuprofen an hour or so before or at bedtime was like a miracle drug and really really helped the difficulties I was having. If that doesn't cause some kind of conflict with drugs he taking I would try that. Simple. (Aleve or tylenol may work.) All difficulties went away for me the first week I had chemo. But up still many times a night. Starting to think that has just become a habit. Had a 4 hour stretch of sleep last night. Those are really appreciated.
Thank you, worth a go
Having problems with frequent urination? The best advice which I received in 2003 was to take sitz baths - let's one relax and they can pee away in the water. It won't hurt you and will certainly help to empty your bladder. There a was a period early on where I took 3 or 4 a day.
