very interesting. I'm being treated there. Will be sure to ask next time I'm there

Sounds great, but still a few years from approval and market I assume?

Sadly I’m sure it will be quite sometime before available ☹️ But here’s to hopeful 🤞

“Given that a single injection could eradicate the cancer, it strongly suggests we are hitting the right target. If we are successful at using this approach to deliver drugs in humans, it could change the course..."

This is the kind of news I like on Fridays!😃

Thanks to your post I called Sloan-Kettering yesterday. I spoke to someone who interviewed me regarding my PC history. I was told that I have to wait and be "re-staged" after completing Taxotere chemotherapy (I start on 5/14/2018). The woman didn't offer to take my name and call me back.

I also have made 2 visits to MD Anderson in the past 12 months and have been told that there are no clinical trials available for someone "as healthy as me." That is, in both cases it seems I have to get sicker before I am eligible for a clinical trial.

Is anyone else having the same experience?

The good news in all this is that Memorial Sloane-Kettering and MD Anderson (and others) are all working on very specific therapies so that perhaps, in 5 years, the "chemotherapy" we are offered will target only PC and not every fast growing cell in our bodies.

I think this is one of the biggest downfalls of clinical trials and all drugs! Once cancer reaches the level they want to try new treatments at, they are not very effective.

I spoke to a clinician at MSK and she said they are starting trials in June for targeting only. She said they have nothing in their pipeline using this for treatment. I pressed her and she said maybe in two years if things go well.

I’m sad to say things seem to be moving very slow in P.C.
