Medicine is helpful but there is one healer.

Something to think on. Jesus bore all our sicknesses and diseases the bible says. You can stand on the Word of God for your healing from this disease as well as use doctors and medicines as well. Nothing is too hard for God. So don't let fear steal all your courage. Google healing scriptures and meditate on them. It helps!!!

Good reply Nalakrats. Maybe you’re here to spread the word and give support and advice to the rest of us, which you are doing well.

I am so grateful to read these testimonies to your faith and trust in the Lord....My husband Rob has been fighting prostate cancer for the past 6+ years. It has been our strong faith, prayers of family and friends and inspiration and support of people like you that has sustained us. I said early on that it has been like walking down a dark, bumpy road, holding on to God's hand. Just when it has seemed that we could not go another step, He has shed some light on our path and at times, carried us along. And yes, God is the healer; the doctors and medicine are His instruments...and at times, He does it without, or in spite, of them. I give thanks and praise Him for His faithfulness and care and for yours and our faith in Him. May He continue to keep you and bless you and your faith.

A special thanks to Nalakrats for his support and advice concerning Rob's care.

Benshelper, my brother-in-Christ and those who love them,

In our "tool box of treatment" there are many tools; medical skill/knowledge, medicines, treatment options, diet, exercise, and spirituality (others I may have messed). Now into my 10th year after initial prostate cancer diagnosis with a Gleason of 4+4; something I am certain, it has been the fellowship of supportive patients, medical staff, my spouse-nurse-advocate and my Christian faith that has helped to sustained me.

Prostate cancer for me has been an awakening that I am not alone and that my testimony is mine to share not just of the success of my treatment, but of my "soul repair". I am fortunate for the men who have reached out to me when floundering and people of faith who have sustained my soul. My prayer is that within the group, in your families and church your faith, and your confidence opens you more to charity, hope, peace and helps to heal your soul.

When asked what is a soul a great teacher once replied, "Your soul? Should you agree that each of us is liken to a large precious diamond with many facets, some of different colors, most covered in some grime of sin and doubt... when that grim is removed and the light of God shines in... what is reflected of that light... that is your soul."

God and the spirituality that guides you reflect the greatness you were made to be and share.
