So few understand our prostate cancer ladden lives. We think awareness will be raised and hope offered if we collect and publish our poems and short stories about our prostate cancer, into one brilliant book. There are many anthologies from "cancer survivors," and some individually written prostate cancer poetry books, but none that collect the wide variety of experience represented by our online community. Please email your poems and short stories about your life with prostate cancer to info@malecare.org Malecare is the nonprofit that facilitates this prostate cancer online community. Your submission implies permission to publish your work. Cheers!

There was a guy named Curtis Palmer who used to post to a newsgroup named alt.support.cancer.prostate. Here are some things attributed to him:

And here's a great one by a guy named Bob Anthony:

In case that link doesn't work for you, here's the poem:
Bob Anthony
12/2/05
my nookie days are over
my pilot light is out
what used to be my sex appeal
is now my water spout
time was when of it's own accord
from my trousers it would spring
but now I have a fulltime job
to find the blasted thing
it used to be embarrassing
the way it would behave
for every single morning
it would stand and watch me shave
as old age approaches
it sure gives me the blues
to see it hanging it's withered head
and watch me tie my shoes
