So few understand our prostate cancer ladden lives. We think awareness will be raised and hope offered if we collect and publish our poems and short stories about our prostate cancer, into one brilliant book. There are many anthologies from "cancer survivors," and some individually written prostate cancer poetry books, but none that collect the wide variety of experience represented by our online community. my nookie days are over

my pilot light is out

what used to be my sex appeal

is now my water spout

time was when of it's own accord

from my trousers it would spring

but now I have a fulltime job

to find the blasted thing

it used to be embarrassing

the way it would behave

for every single morning

it would stand and watch me shave

as old age approaches

it sure gives me the blues

to see it hanging it's withered head

and watch me tie my shoes
