What a presentation! For the first time I was fascinated by the 'truths' of Prostate Cancer. Cell biology and the action of treatments at various stages by beautiful diagrams! Oh! , this is real science! I watched the BAT MAN like a small kid and I forgot all horrendous things about the mCRPC!

So I received my second testosterone BAT shot on February 13. I have been notified by the doctor that I have a Chek2 ! He believes that I would have a good response to the testosterone meaning that rather than increase my PSA it would lower it. Unfortunately the PSA that they took went from 14 to 51 in 30 days. The doctor thinks that it is testosterone flare, and that because of this mutation it will go down on third shot. Otherwise they’ll take me off of the testosterone, especially before bone and CAT scan shows evidence of metastatic disease.But he made me hopeful when he stated that because of the mutation there are other trials that may be more effective for me that utilize third shot. Keeping my fingers crossed so if you haven’t had your genes tested, I suggest that you do so.

Unfortunately the testosterone the BAT has failed. I am now looking at work done by Dr. Eugene Kwon at the Mayo clinic with choline P.E.T. testing
