Very Interesting Article on Metastasis
I saw this recently, I think it is a very important development. Not sure if it will help those of us with mets, but maybe it will lead to new agents to slow down the spread. Thanks hankm.
Paul,
I think it is never too late to inhibit metastasis.
& I feel that a good precaution is to use nattokinase to eliminate the microclots that facilitate metastasis.

Thanks. There's been a lot of interesting reading recently carried both on this forum and elsewhere. Here we are more personal with our digests and I certainly can still weep for those for whom things are not proceeding as well as we would hope and cheer for the successes that can be carried over to benefit so many more of us.
Interesting insight into how cancer spreads. There are also that stops fetal growth these signals cease when growth of any organ is complete.
Hank,

I was interested in this comment in the Discussion:
"Our findings further emphasize the necessity of 3D cultures in pharmaceutical studies as monolayer cell culture methods remain the de facto prevalent testing platform. Cells cultured on dishes adopt physiologically irrelevant morphology and signalling patterns. For instance, the cell-density-dependent migration seen in 3D is not observed on 2D substrates."

Thank you brother. No doubt this discovery is a big hope for us and is a breakthrough to come out with a drug cocktail which can stop metastasis altogether! More than anything else I felt very proud because Hasini Jayatilaka is a Sri Lankan girl from my small country Sri Lanka!
