No. It was a complete failure. Now on Lupron after 40 radiation treatments. PSA stable at 1.5.

George, I only hope you read the post of a guy at 58 who was returned to his quality of life with an open mind. Frankly as an outpatient proceedure for a man your age cyro was a wise choice before something as draconian as radiation and ADT.

Yes by Dr. Stephen Scionti in 2008. With a 4+4 Gleason at age 58, he did a nerve sparing proceedure. I had a second read of pathology report, consulted with surgical, medical and radiation oncologist then had the urologist who had the best procedure for my quality of life. I also has friends who were treated by Dr. Scionti and fully recovered. You will not believe the crap you will get from men who pay physically and financially for the gold standard or years on medication. I am of the opinion you should first ask "Will the proceedure return me to my quality of life and is this doctor the person who can by experience do this?"

That was not enough for me so I doubled checked everything. Eight years later, sure I am on Active Surveillance,  but not on medication of any sort. Since i am as active physically, mentally and sexually of 10 years ago (pre symptom) i would say, I have no regrets. With the exception that for some reason blood banks will not let me donate after 39 pre cyro donations.
