I'd never heard of it, so I had to look it up.

It's not an ADHD medication. The listing I found said it can treat seizures and bipolar disorder. I have heard of medications for treating seizure disorders causing lightheadedness and dizziness. (I have a friend who is epileptic, and she didn't drive for at least 10 years, because her seizures weren't well controlled enough and her medication made her lightheaded enough that she felt unsafe to drive.)

what were u prescribed it for?

One Family Dr. tried giving it to me for anxiety and panic attacks. (To take 1 every morning) that’s when I have to take my antidepressants, pain meds & ADHD meds to get me woken up (cuz my whole life has been- trouble getting myself to bed/or if in bed & can’t fall asleep bc I can’t stop worrying about the many stressful things & overwhelming feelings I might have experienced today & how I have to deal with them tomorrow along with other obligations that I know time wise is unrealistic then I’m repeatedly having panic attacks and crying every night, once I’m finally asleep(if I do get any) , or even if I got a whole 8-9hrs of sleep, it’s a few hours at a time, even about 7yrs ago&prior when down to when I was a kid (I’m 39 now & on disability) I have the hardest time waking & getting up. And without those meds helping me wake up & especially feel better physically and mentally (which they are barely doing now, a lot needs to be switched out, but separately and that has & could take 3-4months & feels nearly impossible mentally, u get so depressed and barely able to do for yourself while weaning down on one antidepressant to get off bc it can’t be mixed with the new one the Dr. is about to put u on, then waiting for the new one to see if it works & after a couple of months when it does kick in will it help/will I be able to keep taking it-or are there going to be side effects that have u way out of wack, has happened, & can be pure hell emotionally & mentally especially when you don’t have a support system of fam, friends, or peers. Anyway, taking lamictol then after that prescribing me a similar one called oxycarb…something…both had me feeling like a bump on a log all day long!! Eye blurry issues, yes lightheadedness , sleepy, even more depressed, and one caused to start feeling suicidal! SMH 🤦🏻 I had to stop taking them and reported this back to the Dr. and then referred me out all because she didn’t want to let me get put back on clonazepam which I had been on for about 8yrs and missed a few months with another Dr. in that clinic and I refused to go back to see him because he really creeped me out! That Dr. I saw last who put me on both of those crappy meds to “treat anxiety disorders/panic attacks” was way off & acted like she didn’t care, well it seemed clearly to me that she did not. Why not put me back on my regular meds in the first place? Or after I tried her other options and putting me through a few months of hell, why not then put me back on my regular meds!? The Government and/or DEA..something law/rule making & changes have Dr.’s scared to treat their patients accordingly or as they would normally less than 10yrs ago, for fear of losing their license or some kind of penalties or fines..idk? It’s messed up
