On this site, it's peer support.

What other support is available depending on where you live, what benefits are available to you, and what you can afford.

~~~
I take medication regularly.
Peer support groups like this help me a lot, too. (I'm on this forum and a Men's ADHD group on Facebook most days off the week.)
Mental health counseling can be very beneficial, but it depends on the connection between counselor and client, and how familiar the counselor/therapist is with ADHD. If they don't specialize in ADHD, then they might only be able to help with the anxiety or depression issues that are often related.
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is often an effective form of therapy for people with ADHD, but it's not the only one to consider. There are different therapies for different needs.
ADHD coaching can be much more targeted, with strategies that are specifically attuned towards ADHD.
~~~~~

Effective ADHD treatment has to be tailored to the individual.

Not every support method works well for all of us. And what works well for you at one point in time might become less helpful and then more helpful again.

Because we can be so variable, it's important to find different treatment methods to switch between. Just because something stops working at one point in time doesn't mean you can't try it again later.

Most of all, don't give up on yourself. There's help available.

Feel free to ask about more specific things, like certain medications or certain types of therapy.

Welcome to the community, Invelocity!

As STEM_Dad mentioned, it's peer support in here - but it truly is supportive. People will do their best to help with other resource ideas if there's something specific your looking for.
