I reached out to my ADHD specialist earlier this week in regards to not reaping any benefits from the medication yet as I started at a very low dose of only 10 mg after doing research and joining multiple ADHD groups I realize that I have a pretty severe case of this disorder and not sure which medications will work best leaving it in the doctors care of course but in the meantime when she sent over 20 mg capsules she told me that I can continue doubling up on the 10 mg if I would like to or to save some in case we raise the dose later or another option I can't quite remember so I saved 3 days worth in case of raising the dose I figured that would give her plenty of time to send in another prescription when I reached out in regards to raising the dose again she had no problem with doing so and said she'd sent over 30 mg capsules a 30-day Supply however not to pick up the 20 mg capsules or it would not be able to be filled I had already picked up the 20 mg capsules 4 days prior to this conversation she says Let Me investigate and then doesn't respond any further for over 24 hours what do I do I'm feeling stagnant frustrated and not sure how to find another doctor with Colorado Medicaid any and all suggestions welcome thank you

Each state Medicaid programs has its own rules about Schedule II medications.

How many of which dose do you now have?I'm asking as you could now take 30mg using the 20mg plus any 10mg leftovers (if you've still got some) then 40mg after a week or at least 4-5d on 30mg, then you could either go straight up to 60mg or if you want sth like 50mg carefully cut the capsule and empty the powdery content on a sheet of paper and divide it in half saving the other half for the next dose.

You will likely need 40-60mg daily. Leave at least 4-5 days between increases.

You'll be fine. Trust me.

Thank you for the response and yes I am certain I can take a much higher does , but get this my doctor is keeping me at 20 mg till my next fill because I use several of the 10 mg to equivalents the 20 as she said I could and then I picked up the 20 mg capsules and Started those for a few days and not a whole lot of help tbh but since I picked up my 20 mg for 14 days I now have to wait to get up to 30... I guess I just really need to be patient and take it as easy as possible but also I feel that the 20 mg is making me feel worse as in all the nasty side effects with no relief from my hectic scattered stressful days I really look forward to waking up and functioning smoothly and I have faith I will get there.

You can divide Vyvanse in water.

Open 2 x 20mg capsules and put them into 200ml of water then drink 150ml. That will give you a 30mg dose.

I have been doing it throughout my titration so that I haven’t had to waste any medication also when my dose is increased I don’t have to wait for my new meds to arrive I can start straight away.

I have added a link to explain.
