Hi Whereismykey, I'm a physical therapist and work in a hospital. Time management problems, struggles with productivity (not being able to meet quota's expected by my boss/HR), problems with prioritization... my work struggles are actually what brought me to start counseling over a year ago as my boss's attempts to help me were not solving the problem. A couple of weeks ago when I was feeling stressed about still not "getting it" at work and told my counselor I was wondering if something was "wrong with me" that no one ever told me my counselor told me she really thinks I have ADHD and recommended I go to a psychiatrist to be tested for ADHD. She said maybe it would explain my struggles and that with a diagnosis accommodations can be made. I haven't gotten the testing yet - but plan to. I joined this group only a few days ago - my work struggles that I couldn't seem to resolve led to feelings of anxiety at times also particularly because I can't seem to solve the problem and it has been ongoing for a long time. I don't necessarily have a lot of answers yet - but the work stuff you mentioned above is the main thing that started me on the journey to figure myself out and may end up with a diagnosis of ADHD - we'll see - it that's what it is it is kind of a relief to know there is a legit reason for my struggles. I hope you find answers too - work stuff is hard...
