My son is 13 and was diagnosed 3 years ago with ADHD and OCD. He is on medication but I feel like it isn't working. I need help with his meds. Where do I get that? I want a Dr. that is very familiar with this diagnosis. Any help would be great.

Medication help
Hi, I’m sorry to hear that your son is having a hard time. I would recommend seeing a psychiatrist at an ADHD clinic in your area (you can do a Google search for this). They are typically out of network for insurance (so you’d have to submit on your own for reimbursement), but if you can swing it, it’s worth it to get a proper diagnosis and medication assessment. Good luck.
ADHD medicines do not work on 20% of ADHDers. Medicines work very well on nearly 50% of ADHDers, and the rest 30% of ADHDers benefit somewhat from the medicines.
You need to call his insurance and they should be able to give you a list of all the specialist near you! Even if he has Medicaid, on the back of the card it gives you a 1-800 number that you can call and request a list of Doctors that specialize on this. Once you get the list you can go through the list and do your research on each doctor. That’s what I did with my son.
Didn't work for mine right now prozac seems to help her OCD and anxiety fingers crossed
