ADHD coach Linda Walker is doing a free webinar on how to build productive routines that specifically cater to how ADHD energy levels fluctuate throughout the day, and I thought it was pretty neat.

"Personal productivity experts are unanimous in saying that to achieve success you must tackle things in order of priority. The 80/20 rule (Pareto Principle) suggests you can prioritize your way to improved productivity. However, since importance is not meaningful to ADHDers, standard approaches to prioritization don't work.

Traditional time management teaches you to schedule activities according to your commitments:

- Do things when other people (spouse, boss, co-workers, kids, etc.) ask (tell) you

- Work according to an imposed schedule (class times, store hours, appointments)

- Leave tasks to the last minute, scheduling around deadlines

However, that's the wrong approach for adults with ADHD, and it makes getting things done very difficult for you. Arranging your schedule according to your own energy patterns is the difference between climbing Mount Everest and strolling down a country lane."

It was just told to me by someone in another forum that knowladge brings validation. And i that statement surly is being made clear with every new piece of awareness.

In my personal fight against myself and situations to be more effecient has been a loosing fight it seams. A story too many of us already know too well. Yet, in this fight unaware of my ADHD, i keept having to shift my stratagies to accomidate my physicla energies, personal drives, and desires of my heart as could be fulfilled. Yet, all the so called "logical" thoughts and reasoning adapted by years in around American business and university mindsets always caused me to try and force my manadgement stratages back to the traditional "logical" effeciency approach.

When i read thisd just now it was like a breath of fresh air. And validation to strengthen my biofeedback approach and incorperate stragies of disciple into it without fighting this false fear of being "irresponsible."

So thank you for this post, i have opened up the link and if i can ever gert to among the other 15-25 plus tabs allready open for the past week, it will probably be a great tool. 👍🏻
