I have limited dairy as much as possible in my diet. I also stopped using any harsh products. I accidently stopped using proactive all together. Ive been looking in the mirror lately not seeing any red or large zits or pimples. I dont want to hold my breath but Im feeling pretty good. The less you exfoliate and more gentle you are the better the results. I have sensitive, dry skin that often gets oily due to how dry it would get. I really hope someone having a tough time stumbles uppon this. This community is so small!

Im finally having success.. I think!
That's really good to hear that you are seeing improvement. I had acne into my late 20s, always used harsh treatments thinking that I needed something that would dry up the oil. It wasn't until I went for a facial and was told that I had sensitive skin that things changed. Since then (20 years ago) I have used Demalogica Ultra Calming cleanser and have had clear skin. I also moisture using Cerave. I have used this approach with my kids who are now at the horrible teenage acne stage, they use Cerave face wash (my son for oily skin and my daughter for dry) they both moisturise with cerave too. They do get breakouts but our experience has been that the harsher the treatment, the worse their skin has become so we keep it gentle. Good luck, I hope you continue to see improvement.
I use the cerave products too! I realized in my 20s I had dry, sensitive skin. I had to stop wearing makeup because foundation would always look flaky and it was so annoying. Its been tough because Im already petite and look young. I learned by 31 that the healthier by diet the better. As a teen my skin wasnt that bad. The older I got, the worse it became. Menstral cycle, hormonal imbalances and a bad diet. I havnt seen a doctor yet because I couldnt find one taking new patients with my insurance. My wedding is in 6 months so Im hoping for the best!
