Nebula, Genesight, ClarityX genomic tests

Would love to hear from those that have used genomic tests for whole genomic sequencing (e.g., Nebula) or for pharmacogenomic decision. I know these are complementary tests that provide different information. I have seen many have used Genesight or Clarity. Curious if anyone has used whole genomic sequencing. Also, what genes are tested by Clarity (couldn't find their list).

What tests have you used? did insurance pay for it? Were they helpful in your particular situation?

Used Genesight which was not covered by insurance. Conveniently performed at our pediatrician’s office. Helpful to know my kid metabolizes medications quickly. Unfortunately, the psychiatrist at the time didn’t really use it for anything else.

hubby has had opus23. Paid for by us. I think it was useful as it lists things to avoid and take more of. (Food, drugs, natural supplements, vitamins)

It picked up he has a problem with dopamine and seratonin processing which I think explains why he suffers bad side effects from these. Doctors won’t take any notice though.

We had Genesight testing during my 9 yr olds php program. Prior to that we went through a whole slew of drugs with some really awful side effects. The Genesight did confirm that those meds were not really for her and we agreed. We and the doctors are now using that info to help her find the correct meds for mood and ADHD. I believe we paid out of pocket for that.

I have done Nebula. I do not recommend it. I found it too technical for the average person and if you are a woman it only gives you maternal linage. Lately, they haven't even been giving regular new information (from new studies) about your results either. For our child we did Genesight. Unfortunately, many physicians don't use it much. I think it's helpful, even if your Dr doesn't follow it you can use the information to help give you ideas on what drugs you'd like to start with e.g. leaving the contraindicated drugs for last trial situations.

I hope that helps.
