NEBA EEG Testing - useful or scammy?

We are in the process of getting psychoeducational and neuropsych testing for our child whom we suspect has some learning differences and/or ADHD. The clinician we are considering wants to do NEBA /EEG testing - sounds like a way to make a lot of money to me. Any experience?

Welcome!While I personally do not have experience with this test, the following article supports using it as a way to measure brain waves, which it states is a FDA approved way to diagnosis ADHD.

As a neurology nurse, I would definitely have to ask why they feel this is necessary. There are several indications, such as epilepsy, which require an EEG, but usually not ADHD.
