Does anyone get social security disability for their child with severe combination type adhd?

I’ve researched this for my 7 yr old diagnosis with severe ADHD. YouTube and talking to parent educator about Medicaid and SSD. Where I live in NC it’s all based on income per my state so it’s out of the question. Which sucks! So Check with your state laws, rules and people who can help you apply. For me there is no point in applying if my income is above $2000 per month. I have to be below poverty to apply for Medicaid/ SSD. My sister who lives in WI has Great state laws/ benefits for disability kids! Good luck!

I’m pretty much a single mother who only works part time due to my sons Issues 😥

I'm guessing. If a parent has to quit work to care for a child with a disability, you can check local, county, state and federal governments for benefits. Sometimes there are benefits we don't even know about you can dig out on the computer. Yes, in some states, the amount you get is so poor that it is not worth it. No harm in trying. If you have paid your taxes all your life, it is your RIGHT.
