Genesight test

Has anyone done the Genesight test? I just learned about it today reading a post on another site. Why have none of my daughters doctors ever mentioned this as a possible assistant? What do others think of this test?

I have heard of it, one of my friends said it worked well. I how ever was not able to find a provider that does it because they said they have to go through trial medications for insurance to cover medications anyways. Good luck

Your old post about Genesight Testing caught my eye. I was curious if you were able to find a psychiatrist who offers it. I work as a therapist and have had very positive experiences with this tool personally and professionally. As we see from some of these excellent posts, we are all different and respond to available meds differently. Even if your insurance doesn't cover this test, Genesight capped the out of pocket to ~$350. It was well worth it for me to save my young adult daughter the trial and error process to identify the right medication fit for clinical depression/anxiety that holistic remedies did not respond to. She experienced immediate benefits with Effexor (with surprisingly minor side effects.) She is also taking prescription L-methyll folate which her knowledgeable psychiatrist explained would help whatever medication she takes work better. I started with Adderall and currently take Vyvance for ADHD and sense that it helps me better respond to as well. Go to Genesight.com for information.
