diagnosed yesterday following ultrasound

hey, so after a referral to gyne through my gp I was diagnosed yesterday following and ultrasound. The ultrasound was performed by a dr who said she can with good certainty confirm adenomiosis. I will now be referred for an MRI. Whilst this is a relief to some extent and certainly at the time I was overwhelmed with emotion that I was finally being heard and it wasn’t all in my head. But today I’m back to worrying again 😂 I really wasn’t expecting the diagnosis as my more severe symptoms feel so gastric.

I seem to be having a bad flare up at the moment and it’s like a constant throbbing/twisting/swollen/burning pain in right side which can go into my back near my kidney, down into my groin, across my lower back or sometimes up has high as my ribs (I am very short though so not much room). At the same time I have cramping/heavy or fullness feeling above my pelvis.

im also so constipated. And when I do go it’s thin and I don’t feel any better.

I guess I’m still so worried that it’s something gastrointestinal related that’s going to be missed.

Has anyone had anything similar? I’d just like some reassurance that this diagnosis is what is causing my issues.

Thanks for reading 😊

I had exacylty the same, they said that my uterus was pressing on my bowel and a hysterectomy would solve the problem. It didn't! it just made thing 100 times worse. Now I am in constant pain, don't sleep at nights and have to take linocloitide every morning so I can go the loo. this has been going on for 2 years now and no respite. Think twice before you have a hyster
