Feeling a bit worried

Hi al

After not having any face to face consultations because of covid and having problems including constant bleeding and pain I booked in with a private gynecologist to see what they thought. I have had two scans in March and May which showed adenomyosis changes and also ovarian cysts. Had CA125 test which was normal. Had an examination yesterday when I saw the consultant and she said my uterus felt slightly bulky. She said I need to have hystroscopy with biopsies in 2-4 weeks and it's urgent.

I'm panicking a bit now. Has anyone had anything similar?

Hi

I'm sorry you are worried and have had no one come on here sooner. If your examination was Private they will instruct testing, I think the shock comes from getting no such service on ths NHS. Adenomyosis or other womb pathologies will show a bulky womb and enlarged at times. I think they are not concerned of Cancer as you dont have raised C125 and they probably wd have ordered a lot more blood tests on you. I think they are being thorough with the Adeno and maybe come back to you recommending a Hysterectomy for it.

Best Wishes

H.

Hi Helly

Thank you for getting back to me. I had a whole raft of blood tests done yesterday including a repeat of the CA125 so hoping that they are all OK. The GP has now referred me on the 2-4 week pathway for hystroscopy and scan after the consultant I saw spoke to them. Fingers crossed that I will get some answers.
