I don’t know what to do....

Hi I was wondering if anyone has had any of these problems with the pro strap injection?

I have Adenomyosis and it was affecting y badly my Gynecologist put me on the prostarp 3 monthly injection to see if it would shrink the Adenomyosis, as they had tried about 7-8 different hormone pills and a hysterectomy has been mentioned but because I’m only 29 (30 in December) she didn’t want to go down that route if it can be helped, which I do understand however I have 2 kids and do not want any more.

I had my last injection on the 26th April 2018 so I am nearly about 1 month since the end date of the last injection. I have been experiencing increased hot flushes...one minute I’m fine and the next I’m sweating very heavily. I was just wondering if this is normal?

I’m going back to see my gynaecologist on Monday to see where she wants to go from here, but I think she is going to say ‘let’s trail another pill’ which I am sceptical about because all the others I had made my bleeding 10 es worse.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated thank you.

Hi

I had my last injection yesterday. My side affects are hot flushes, not sleeping through the night, swollen stomach, nausea and now and then feel emotional. I’m 49 next month so will be having a hysterectomy. The injections have stopped my pain.

Yeah this the same for me I have had no pain or bleeding this part has been great.

Now I’m just still getting hot flushes and because of them my sleep is disturbed.

I’m going back to see my gynaecologist on Monday but I don’t know what she will say. When I seen her when I started these injections she said if I have no pain or bleeding that she would consider a hysterectomy, but the last time I seen her she said she might put me back on a pill but I’m sceptical of this as I have tried about 8 different hormonal pills which have all made the bleeding and pain a lot worse 😔

When was your last injection for you to keep on getting hot flushes and how did you get on with your appointment on Monday? I definitely won’t be agreeing to anymore if I have to wait longer than a month for my operation.

Well it’s been 1month since my last injection would have ran out and I’m still getting hot flushes and my consultant has put me on a course of cerezette tablets as she said the injections should have shrunk the adenomiosis enough so the bleeding should stop and I shouldn’t have a period again and the pain shouldn’t happen so let’s see

Hi I have been advised to try Prostrap to see if it helps with my constant pain of Adenomyosis.

I was wondering about the side effects? I have read about the various side effects but in relation to the constant pain of Adenomyosis surely it is an improvement to what we live with within a month.

How long did it take your body to adjust to the hrt after the injection. Thanks
