Hi all I'm new on here. I had a full hysterectomy leaving ovaries in last July due to severe adenmyosis. I had terrible periods losing loads of blood and clots. The pain was indescribable. I'm 38 years old now and still having pains. When i go to wee i get an awful cramping pain that stops me weeing. Then i get pains near my hips.

Has anyone else experienced this after an hysterectomy?

Please seek another MRI too rule out endometriosis. I just had my hysterectomy for confirmed Adenomyosis and on operating they found endo all around my bowel it was engulfed and pinned down to my pelvic wall! I had pains passing stool and urine most prominent in menstruation which I found I dreaded going, esp to No.2 sorry if TMI.. ..!!!Endo was my silent assassin....well along with my bulked out Adeno womb!

Good luck with investigations!

Thank you for your reply. I was told by my consultant to wait till 12 month after op which will be july if things haven't settled then go back. He mentioned scar tissue as i had previously had a c section. It's really getting me down now.

Yes it would. As a newly hyster sister as of yesterday to think a year later another potential culprit is lurking..well, that's just very disheartening for anyone. I'm very sad too they found the endo in me yesterday as it's the one not contained and it can come back onto other organs.

Women's troubles eh! Not too fair.

I'm trying to be positive you know, like saying its not the C word.

Chin up hun, I know it's hard.

Others are sufferering too and we are just a message away.

Good luck on your wait or press him if you are really uncomfortable for investigation "now!"
