Hi

Didn't you get to ask your questions when you saw doctors? If not, call or email them.....

3months isn't very long for such an extensive clot I don't think (though I am no medic).

I am still plodding on with the warfarin for my blod clot on the brain 18 months later as it wasn't gone as of the last scan...

Try to keep positive....and keep on with drugs/healthy diet/exercise. There's nothing more you can do so live as much as you can with it (I'm off on a major trip despite everything soon....bit scary but I cannot let it stop me doing everything....already cost me my relationship and job...)

Take care

The Dr. Can't really answer any questions about why it's happend until I see Heamotologist tomorrow to get genetics blood tested. Just going down slow I hate yajing the Xarolto for 6 month's total he said that's the normal.  Buying more Commpression knee high.Bur hey I don't need the thigh highs any more.

Well, that's good- what with summer coming and  all that :-)

I've given up hope of finding out what caused my blood clot - can't do most tests while on the warfarin

They said they could still do a blood test with me on Xarolto I was surprised. I'm looking forward to knowing more so I can understand more about my blood💝

I think a few tests were done on my bloods when hospitalised in Oct 14 but told that further ones can's be done until after finished warfarin ( not doing that until the clot has cleared - if ever ) .... Xarolto must work in a different way I guess. But was also told it wasn't suitable for my condition anyway ( would  like not to have the ever regular INR tests but can't avoid those for the time being ). I may well never know what caused mine :-(  ...... just hoping to get rid of it

I didn't need tp stop Xarolto to get blood tested 4 xs thru found out why and it had to do with 5 fibroids that grow every month and I blood horrable every month's.

Chronic anemia and a genetic protien deficiency along with this.. I am having laser surgery on the 30 of June and do not have to stop taking Xarolto to get this. I can stop taking Xarolto in 60 days...

Why did they say you had to stop to get blood tested?

Did you get another scan to check if your clot had shrunk?

I asked for a rescan but was told I'm on blood thinners so you don't need another scan.

It would be peace of mind knowing the clot had dissolved.

The compression tights hurt behind my knee digging in where my clot ended I've ended up wearing compression flight  socks as it's better than nothing and they are more comfortable to wear.

I developed post thrombotic syndrome this is so painful. I wasn't given compression stockings after diagnosis I had to wait 4 months for them.

Compression really helps the blood flow

I don't like them but was told it helps with healing much faster so I will wear. I wear yhe socks.
