Methotrexate side effect?

I'm having the most unbearable pain in my legs, not just in the joints. Heat compresses doing nothing to relieve it, painkillers neither. I think it is the Methotrexate. Has anyone has a similar experience?

Hi there I also am suffering with this, especially in my calves, and am on Adalimumab not Methotrexate. I wonder if it is part of the illness. I've just added magnesium to take as a supplement as I read this can help. Sorry not to have more answers.

Hi zuzu. I was on methotrexate for 2 years. The side effects I experienced were daily nausia and vomiting. Your leg pain is very familiar to me. I have neropothy and when my legs get that 1st pang of pain I rush to use ice packs. I know ice sounds uncomfortable but its a huge relief for me. Sometimes I alternate heat and ice. I take gabapentin for nerve pain. I also have RA and get bad muacle pain in my legs and arms. I use the same method except I use anti-inflammatories. Its hard to pinpoint these problems because it can very well be the disease! It's always a scooby-do mystery. 😞
