Future stuff to look into
I can't help but feel that my insurance/healthcare company is very concerned about treating current problems, but not so much about preventing future problems. For example, when I mentioned I would like to see a naturopath as part of my cancer treatment, the response was "That's a really good idea,

Physio - thoughts on this ?
My fit friends who know nothing about PMR suggest I should try
Physiotherapy
. I did try that before diagnosis when they thought they were treating a bursa and frankly the subsequent flare like a constant burn was much worse.

One birthday and suddenly I am old
I had a bad birthday, 55. I've been really depressed about it. I was told I am old by two different doctors in two days. First (Thursday) was the orthopedic dr as he was setting me up with a splint, meds, and physical therapy for my right arm. Friday it was the dermatologist while I was asking questions

I’m in so much pain and feeling desperate
hello, I am reaching out as hoping someone can offer me some reassurance. I am in so much pain just now, I am feeling desperate and scared. Can someone reassure me that things get better? I was diagnosed with endo in 2020, age 41, after decades of mysterious symptoms that no one was interested in.

Tapering but should I go further?
May I say how very useful I have found the questions and answers/advice I have found on this site...quite invaluable. I wonder if I could receive advice on my particular problems. Briefly, I was diagnosed with PMR in March this year. 15 mg of Prednisolone didn't touch the pain so surgery upped dosage

Demoralised
I collapsed at the end of August and was diagnosed with a TIA, spent a few weeks in hospital, have had some physio and and am still off work. It was described as a "mild TIA" so I'm finding it really demoralising that I get tired at the drop of a hat both physically and mental. Some days I feel fine

Supraspinatus Tendonitis
Hello all After getting severe pains in the upper arms on lifting and lowering them for many years and having tried
physiotherapy
exercises without any success, my GP has finally diagnosed supraspinatus tendonitis as the condition. The option I have been given is a steroid injection.

Yorkshire Marathon
Back from a trip to York to see our daughter (Physics undergrad) and to take part in my second ever marathon. My first was Brighton in April. Some thoughts on my second marathon based on my experience. York was very different from Brighton. I mean that in terms of how hard it was, physically and mentally

Me again
hi everyone I've been quiet the past couple of days as I have been in absolute agony as I write this post I'm in excruciating pain I've spoke to physio, Orthopedic and GP and all 3 have all different ideas and none can agree on next steps. I'm starting to lose faith in the health care professionals
