had my lesson in physio this morning. Caravan almost ready to get away Monday only until following Sunday as wife has/had eye op planned. Telephone call this morning to say op put back one week. So, do we go away as planned or go for nearly two weeks? Two weeks not as we had originally planned as not

No sunshine this morning so photo not as bright as I would have liked. Certainly no prizes for knowing the answer, although I expect one or two of you might be surprised. It towers over our house which is behind the tree. Not only have I had camera out but also had lessons from the physio in how to

Week 8 Run 2
Rain was bouncing of the ground this morning so this was the first time since starting c25k where I actually wondered... Do I even have shorts that still fit me? It's a bit of nuisance trying to keep track bottoms from ending up round your knees once they're soaked. There is one pair but hmmm... I

Holiday - at last
My wife had to cancel eye op for end of April as we both had Covid, so had to put off planned holiday until further notice. Delay only till end of May (we are in france) so quick change and after her physio session next Monday off withe the caravan until Sunday, so that she is back for physio Monday.

I can’t afford any
physiotherapy
at this time and trying to be motivated to do the at home stretches and exercises is hard when I’m in so much pain and have little motivation. I can’t lay or sit in so many positions that used to bring me comfort.

Reocurring back pain because of OCD?
of
physiotherapy
, I was corrected. My glutes and core became stronger, I was doing proper technique at the gym and my back pain reduced to pretty much non-existent (I was feeling it only after workouts and it was like 2/10).

Switch from Azithromycin to Doxycycline
Hi, I have severe asthma and pseudomonas infection for which I’ve been put back on Colomycin nebs following an infection that wouldn’t resolve, but did after I asked my GP if we could try a course of cipro (they didn’t try that first as sputum sample didn’t show pseudomonas). I’ve had to switch from

Week 7 Run 3
Yesterday morning was final run of week 7 and, despite taking a few attempts to get out due to various interruptions, it was up there with best runs I've had. Extra rest day in-between helped clear up the tenderness from the physio visit and pain on inside of calf was barely noticeable when running

Dilator vs. therapy wand for tight pelvic muscles
I was wondering if any of you have recovered from chronically tight pelvic floor muscles. I'm using a dilator currently and going twice weekly to a good physical therapist who gives me internal therapy. I've been at this for months and I have improved but the tightness and pain is stubbornly persisting

A short(s) run
A beautiful morning but my other half decided to sleep late. I had a coffee and a slice of toast around 8.30 then about 10 he appeared and suggested a run. On a day like this it would be rude not to :) Today was the first day warm enough to expose my old pale chubby legs to the sunshine (the first

So disheartened 😞 i don't know what to do anymore. . Adenomyosis is evil !
Hi ladies, I wrote a post last week after my laparoscopy to say they had diagnosed me with Adenomyosis & basically told me to forget the diagnosis. I have just rang up my specialists secretary to see when my follow up will be as I'm in so much pain in my womb. She told me that there will be no follow

I HAVE HUNG UP MY RUNNING SHOES
It is approaching nine years since I discovered C25k and subsequently this forum and the combination of the two changed my life in more positive ways than I could ever imagine. From a 57 year old who thought that running might be a lesser necessary evil than heading off to the gym to maintain stamina

I'm new on this site and need a bit of guidance
Are there any group chat sessions that I could join in or just listen too and if so, how do I join. My husband is in ICU and has been there since 17th January with Covid pneumomia. He has been sedated, ventilated and then had a tracheostomy. Thankfully he now has had that removed and was doing well

Week 7 Run 2
Found this one a bit tougher but I suspect it was more to do with being at physio yesterday and being a bit tender after some poking and prodding. On a positive tho, breathing definitely improving during this programme... Was quite windy and didn't even bother using neck gaiter this time running into

Walking #3: Are you a heel-striking or forefoot-striking walker?
As you may have gathered, I am relearning how to walk. And quite surprisingly, something that I thought I knew how to do all my life is not quite that simple. This evening, one question kept me occupied: is heel-striking actually the best way to walk? Now, as a runner, I’ve become aware of how healthy

Ouch
I actually remembered to take a glass of beetroot juice and put it, covered in clingfilm, by my bedside. Even more surprising I drank it at 6.50 am (then went back to sleep for half an hour). Then, once I'd done my dynamic stretches it was time for a gentle 5km recovery run. Despite the gloomy weather
