After final screening on February 14 (Valentine's Day!), a week later, I started the NCT05536349 trial , "Time-limited Triplet Combination of Pirtobrutinib, Venetoclax, and Obinutuzumab for Patients With Treatment-naïve Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) or Richter Transformation (RT)" at M.D. Anderson

Morning folks, hope you are all doing ok and looking forward to some warmer weather, I have posted about my cough before but at the moment I am feeling really down and unsure what to do. I sleep well all night but every morning I spend an hour coughing up sputum before my lungs feel clearer and not

Experienced knee injury advice please?
Following my recent knee disaster, the physio saw me and suggested elastic knee support and various exercises a week ago, but following a few days rest I have only just started with the knee support (which I find allows me to walk a slow mile without any pain) and haven't started the exercises yet because

Medical gaslighting and problems accessing help through NHS
Hi there, Are any of you experiencing medical gaslighting or experiencing difficulty in receiving basic treatment from the NHS? I would be very interested to know. I was diagnosed with chronic pain state in 2011, fibromyalgia in 2013 and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome last year. Back in 2011, the NHS was challenging

A bump in the road - any advice on an injured toe? 😟
I managed to kick a bed leg while I was changing the bed, and I bruised my middle toes (2&3). I kept my weight off it and iced it, saw a pharmacist who didn't think it's broken. But middle toe is still quite sore a week later. So no running for me ( in fact I'm not even walking very far). I can wriggle

Struggle to get help for Fibro
I was diagnosed with Polymyalgia Rheumatica just over two years ago and am still taking steroids. In November 2021 I tripped and fell and fractured my humerus in 3 places and when I started Physio for this a few months later I noticed I was getting pain in my back. This pain grew worse over the next

Wife passing from decompensated cirrhosis complications
My wife and I were moderate drinkers for many years. My wife, like many people, had a phobia of going to the doctors and had not had an annual check up for 26 years! She was incredibly healthy. Hardly ever had a sniffle and on no meds. I am a clinical pharmacist and am well aware of signs of liver

Just another pain
Since Christmas I've had a pain all around the top of my leg close to my pelvis. It's left me struggling to walk even worse than before. I don't go out because of my mobility and becoming breathless. But this has also stopped me going for investigations into a constant UTI. I told them there was no way

Knees got the better of me for now
Oh dear, I was SO enjoying my first two weeks, getting a real high from it, but, alas, I have to give up for now because of slight knee strain. I was doing the warmup and warm downs religiously, being super-cautious due to age and lack of fitness, but then last Thursday I jumped out of the car and ran

Meniscus strain
I have a meniscus strain but it it is taking long fo me to recover initial injury from week 3 in November. I have been to physio and received exercises to do at home. However, when I exercise the injury seems to be getting worse e.g. pain and stiffness. Has anyone had this issue? How did you recover

5 weeks off!
I completed C25K in November. I was still running a couple of times a week for 30 mins. My max distance was 4.25km ( I’m 57) I’m now good to go again following injury. My pelvis was out of alignment due to tight ITB/hamstring/adductors. All good now following Physio, swimming and Pilates. Even tried

IT band issues
Hi everyone. Looking for some help and advice here. Daughter has been training for a charity Half in May. She was running up to 14 miles but now can’t get past 2km because of IT band pain. She has seen a physio who recommended rest and strengthening exercises which she has been doing for a month now.

Chest cramps
Do any of you suffer from chest cramps? I have been suffering with them intermittently for about a year or so and it really stops me in my tracks. Usually happens when I twist to the right or reach up even to pull my seat belt down around me. I originally thought it was due to scar tissue from when I

running after hip replacement contd 3
I restarted running at week 4 in November 2022, 10 months after my hip replacement. I went slowly and it went well. I had two periods when I stopped because of getting a cold and one because of holiday. From even before my operation my thigh muscles on the bad leg had a tendency to spasm from time to

What do you think?
Hi all, Firstly I would like to say that I haven't been diagnosed with RLS - however through my own investigations it has lead me to this website so I hope no one minds me asking a few questions as I'm starting to loose my mind. I have been to the gp with my symptoms who has told me he thinks I have

Is it posture? Cold? A flare? Or something else?
Hi lovely people 😊 I am sitting here feeling very weak and emotional, I think due to my recent and ongoing drop to 7.5mg. I’m in week 2 of a three week taper from 8mg to 7.5mg. But….as well as the deadly fatigue, I also have some pain issues. I’m trying to sort out whether they are PMR related, or

Can anyone point me in the direction of any studies done on muscle recovery after PMR?
