Hi everyone. Looking for some help and advice here. Daughter has been training for a charity Half in May. She was running up to 14 miles but now can’t get past 2km because of IT band pain. She has seen a physio who recommended rest and strengthening exercises which she has been doing for a month now. However she’s still in pain by 2km. Has anyone got any suggestions to help? Thanks

Did the physio give her a time scale for recovery? Whenever I've been to a physio ( I've been several times before and since starting running) they've always booked follow appointments and the exercises have progressed during the course of treatment. That was with both NHS and private physio, although I expect NHS might have changed since Covid. If she can a sports physio would be her best bet I would think.I'd definitely try to get another appointment and do hope she gets it sorted.
