Post-private GP update
So, in 8 weeks I’ll repeat my
blood
tests
and go back to see what’s happening with the TSH levels, T4 & T3 (I’ll redo the full panel as I want to see what’s changed on the vitamin front too), and go from there.

Advice on new bloods following T3 trial - Improvement in T3 😃 but v low TSH 🙁
My latest
blood
tests
are below. I’ve had these done as I’m due for annual GP bloods in a week and wanted to know more than simply my TSH. I’ve been trialling T3 (sourced privately) and this has made a big difference, my % through range is much improved.

Some renal
blood
tests
are off, as well as a urine test. The doctor said it could be my thyroid or cortisol levels (because of the steroids). I’m having a thyroid blood test, as well as one for cortisol, on Wednesday 6th March. Can an over active thyroid cause these symptoms?

How can one person be so Lucky?
It is an extremely fast growing cancer and there are no
blood
tests
or any other tests that will reveal it before it metastasizes and starts shutting organs down. Average life expectancy after it metastasizes is about 3 months, 70-80% of people discover the cancer that way.

After a round of
blood
tests
I found I had really low levels of Vitamin D . I have been on a high dose since mid October. Energy levels back to normal now but the depression was so bad just before Christmas I was put on Fluoxetine.

Back to square one
My Dr checked my thyroid levels with some other
blood
tests
without me knowing, so I had taken my T4 (50mcg) about an hour before! Based on the results, she said I was now fine and took me off the medication. I tried to argue saying it needed to be before my meds and she said that was wrong.

Accurate Blood tests
Hello, I'm quite confused how to prepare before a blood test. Should I be stopping any vitamin supplementation before the blood test if so how many days? I'm taking T3 and T4 at the moment, when should be my last dose before the blood test? Thanks

Beta 2 Microglobulin
After 4 years in W & W my
blood
tests
showed a new test called Beta 2 Microglobulin with a 2.4 rating in a (0.0. - 2.5 ) range. Can someone explain the need for this test and if there is cause for concern. Thanks!

Looks Like My Cholesterol Is High, Yikes
Anyway a chest ray, ECG and
blood
tests
later, and lots of waiting, they concluded it was an asthma flare up, and after a nebuliser, new inhaler and steroid treatment I've been released. The consultant mentioned my cholesterol has gone up since last summer, was 5.8 or so then and its now over 7.

update
But, I have now been for X-rays and
blood
tests
and my GP said when everything comes back to go see her and we will take it from there. So, now back to waiting and see. But again, a huge thank you for all your input and information you gave me.

pains in head
Lost much sight in right eye in June, an eye-stroke, proved not GCA from scans and
blood
tests
at the time and two temporal biopsies three weeks ago. Out of the blue Friday morning, during breakfast several internal stabbing pains in the head, only on the left side, above the good eye.
