Peripheral neuropathy and neurology's response
I've had all sorts of
blood
tests
and all are normal except a finding that I'm pre-diabetic and bottom end of the scale for Vitamin D. My GP got in touch with Neurology and got this response: it's just unclear to what the problem is.

Worried About (Possible) Recent Diagnosis of PMR.
GP sent me for
blood
tests
, but by a complete coincidence, I had the Covid booster 2 days before the bloods were taken. CRP came back raised at 215. I’d had quite a bad reaction to the Covid booster, so I thought perhaps that the booster had caused the rise in my CRP.

Iron and ferritin advice requested
I have recently had a full set of iron and ferritin
blood
tests
completed and would like some advice on the numbers, please (prior to these tests, only my ferritin levels have been tested). They result from early morning fasting with no iron supplements for one week.

Advice for pelvic pain please!!
A few weeks later (Middle of feb) I started having very severe pelvic pain and pain in my back (left kidney area) - I went to my doctors who did
blood
tests
for everything and sent a water sample to the lab. All came back clear but they gave me a 3 day course of antibiotics as a precaution.

Worried
I was due to go on holiday abroad so GP did some
blood
tests
. ESR was 10 so reassured me everything ok. I have had mild lupus for nearly 30 years but Rheumatology discharged me in 2021 because bloods were negative.

Acute kidney disease
My husband has had
blood
tests
done weeks ago by his upper GI consultant to check his ARLD .Waiting for results. She said if he isn't at cirrhosis yet she will refer back to GP. He had more
blood
tests
the following week to monitor his hypertension.

spoke too soon!!
Anyway, 4 1/2 hours after arriving, and
blood
tests
and more ecg, I was given a bisolprolol fumerate 2.5 and monitored until the rate was normal. We left there just after 11pm. Everyone was fantastic! But couldn't venture any reason, my bloods were all ok, but I might have been a bit dehydrated.

Blood
tests
, Echo and a heart monitor for a week they could not confirm or deny what happened that day but wanted to keep me on clopidogrel for 3 months just incase.

T4 low TSH normal
Evening, I've had more
blood
tests
done and I'm fed up of feeling so badly every day. I've done medichecks TSH tests and cortisol. Only test low is my T4 which tbh never changed since 2016 TSH fluctuates. I had telephone appointment before my test results came back. Due to my chronic fatigue.

PIP when on oxygen 24/7
After a couple of days and nights in The Acute Medical Unit and receiving around the clock care including constant
blood
tests
, having my oxygen levels constantly checked And after having an X-Ray and CT scan the conclusion is I have severe emphysema. My SATs without oxygen fell below 70%.

Ferritin levels high.
New to this forum and recent
blood
tests
showed ferritin levels to be 1120ug/l which I feel is very high. I have been unable to see my GP for advice as of yet so hoping for some here. I have never been diagnosed with liver problems although I have heart disease and am on the usual meds for that.

Binge Drinking with mild fatty liver leading to RUQ discomfort and nausea - help!
I was lucky to have a
blood
tests
and an ultrasound which basically showed no change in the ultrasound position and I was determined to stay sober.

Is this normal?
After my
blood
tests
last week I was asked to go in on Thursday for a transfusion, as haemoglobin only 69. Felt better for a few days after that but started to get breathless again from Tuesday. Had another transfusion today. Nurse said I might need them weekly for a while.

cancelled procedure
Had a phone call yesterday and was told since December my red
blood
cells had been going lower over last three
blood
tests
. Because of the
blood
thinner I would need to take before test and after for a year if stent needed, then they wouldn’t go ahead until reason for this can be found and sorted.

The doctor said we first need to do
blood
tests
to see if anything is wrong- fine. But no sleeping tablets in the meantime! My surgery recently was major open heart operation to fix a valve so I do, at the age of 79 need sleep to get well.
