NDT and NHS blood tests
I asked my GP practice if they would be happy to provide me with
blood
tests
to monitor my bloods, however I got a phone call from admin stating they would not be able to do that as they have not prescribed the medication.

Blood tests
Good morning, I have my results back from a private test I took due to the advice of this lovely group (thank you). I had bloods done with my doctor on 16th Nov (due to feeling terrible and irregular periods) and my tsh level came back at 9.5, they said to come back in 2-3 months for repeat to check

Blood tests confirming malabsorption and malnutrition
Out of curiosity, I managed to set up my NHS portal and patient access, and checked through the last couple of years of various blood tests. Now, when I was in hospital in 2022 (all linked to mistreated hypothyroidism), many
blood
tests
showed malabsorption and malnutrition.

? Recently introduced T3 and not felt any improvements yet (I know 5mcg is small dose).

Quick question about blood tests
Blood
tests
this week (Sed rate and C-reactive) came back normal. Is that odd? I have a first appointment with rheumatologist on Monday next week. Thanks for advice.

Blood Tests
Like many others on here having bloods taken results in heavy bruising, after taking steroids for a number of years my skin is paper thin, so at my latest session last week I was resigned to this happening again , but at the clinic there was a new nurse in attendance who noticed some bruising from knocks

Should blood tests be more frequent?
I keep reading about the importance of a correct blood sugar level! However, I’m under the impression that I’ll only be getting tested once a year from now on! Surely, a lot of damage can be done in the year between tests. Thinking of going down the road of testing sugar levels at home! Has anyone else

blood test accuracy
Hi All, I order
blood
tests
through Medichecks and have a
blood
draw at the hospital but also intermittently get
blood
tests
through the NHS. According to the NHS my vitamin levels have gone down considerably but according to Medichecks they’re fine! Which one should I trust?! Thanks 😊

Blood tests to track MS progression
I have heard about a specific blood test, in US, that allows doctors to measure key biomarkers and evaluate a person's response to particular therapies targeting MS. This is the Octave MS Disease Activity (MSDA) blood test that analyzes levels of 18 key biomarkers that help doctors measure the level

Blood tests - what time?
Hi, I have always had my
blood
tests
done by 08.30 in the past. The hospital is moving to a booking system that tends to give .uch later in the day. Is it important to have your bloods done early?

Thyroid private blood tests - new company
Hi - A couple weeks ago someone posted a new company offering thyroid
tests
that have
blood
drawing clinics in London and is very reasonably priced. I have just had an unfortunate experience with Medichecks as the clinic I chose in London had no appointments for over a month.

GP requests blood tests after injections
My daughter has asked her GP for B12 injections (I won't always be around to do them) she has been called in for a blood test, however stating NICE guidelines didn't help. She has previously been misdiagnosed with MS and even her neurologist wrote in a letter last summer that nothing abnormal was found
