Dad 2nd BCR. Advice needed...
He has been off
ADT
for 1 year when PSA began to rise again. From 0.01 to 0.03 in less than 2 months then 0.05 after another 3 months. Is this indicative of an aggressive progression and metastasis?

Update recent PSMA
So expect to add to
ADT
, abi or enza or darolutamide in a short while, with PSA going up on a fast double. Trying to find out if Nubeqa is worth it regarding technical difference in progression and overall survival, compared to abiraterone. Abi may be better in some ways. thanks.

ADT and bone loss lost opportunity !?

Is This Normal??
Is it normal after nearly 5 years on
ADT
+ Zytig, Prednisone, and Xgeva, to have constant "Flu-Like" symptoms, (sans a fever)? Some days, everything hurts, legs hurt at night , feel like my blood is boiling while I try to sleep. Are these "side effects" or just part of the advanced cancer?

Brain Fog or Dimentia?
Is it possible to blame
ADT
and Zytiga? My husband has been on Ellegaard for five years and Zytiga for 2 1/2. Years, he seems to have a lot of memory issues lately, and I fear it’s only getting worse Any thoughts or experiences on this? Would a vacation from all this help?

PSA Nadir 6 Months After Primary RT Correlates With Prostate Cancer Outcomes — Or does it?, MedPage Today May 22, 2024
The results showed that a PSA >0.1 ng/mL after neoadjuvant
ADT
and before RT was highly prognostic.

Starting Chemo in May via trial
Check my bio for background. 2 months into
ADT
therapy after diagnosis in January. I am starting docetaxyl chemo via an NIH trial in May. M9241 - https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC10230972/. We are hopeful for both good chemo results as well as a positive response for the immunotherapy.

Mortality Risk Up for Cancer Survivors With Elevated Loneliness
Especially with men on
ADT
with the attendant mood swings, depression, fat gain, & loss of libido, I can see how that could occur. https://www.practiceupdate.com/news/45931/2/1?

Stratification test for ADT effectiveness
As someone who has had the awful experience of
ADT
side effects, I give this tool a standing ovation: https://artera.ai/arteraai-prostate-cancer-test Just approved for Medicare coverage, and just a matter of time before California and New York join the other 48 states in approving it.

Scary PSA results
Started
ADT
on November 9. Did 28 sessions of IMRT from Feb 12, 2024, to Mar 21, 2024. Nadir was .8 on Mar 26 and then the last two have been 1.5 and 3.1. RO said 2.8 was the "something more needs to be done marker" I am seeing MO next week. What questions should I be asking?

CBC test anemia: high MCV, MCH, low RBC and leukocytes?
I know radiation fatigue can do a number of folks, as can
ADT
. Are the high/low values indicative of anything? Is there something more he can do?
