Help with my GP and NDT
Hi, I have been on ndt for low thyroid since May 23. My GP has requested a blood test, I told him that I am taking ndt and he asked me what that was. I said that all my symptoms have gone and I feel great. My issue is, my blood test will now show (to him) that I am yo yoing to hypothyroid. As my last

elevated liver blood test
I have just had blood test for a treatment I have for my MS and it came back with Alanine aminotransferase at 50 and Alkaline phosphatase at 177. These both high. This has never happened before. All other LFT’s were fine. Could this mean I have liver damage? I have no symptoms.

Duration of ADT
I started
ADT
and had radiation to the spot and the pelvic lymph nodes. The radiation oncologist told me that 4-6 months of
ADT
was adequate but Kwon prefers a year. They are leaving it to me. I would love some input!

Endo appointment, need NDT
I'm just waiting on an endo appointment (T4, T3 have not worked for me, nearly 4 years of chopping and changing meds by gp/endo). Because of gut/stomach issues (malabsorbtion) diarrhoea, cramps, inflammation) I spoke to a parathyroid /thyroid surgeon on Wednesday (with her for primary hyperparathyroidism

Switching to NDT or adding T3?

18 weeks pregnant on NDT with low T4
I was diagnosed with Hashi while going through my first round of IVF in May. Endo put me on a very low dose of Levo (50mcg) and when my TSH was low enough, he told me to stop. IVF cycle failed and when I retested my TSH a few weeks later, it was 56. Started on Levo again and felt awful. Ended up getting

Sources of T3/NDT
Hi everyone, Following my recent test results in which my T3 levels had dropped (with no change of dose) and meeting with an endocrinologist who insisted everything was 'optimal' (although only just within range) I would like to explore either adding T3 or switching to NDT. I would like to know of

How long until T3 peaks. How long lasts?
Having the hardest time figuring out how long in between my doses I should wait? I'm on NDT. Concerned more w T3 than w T4. But if you have something to say about either, please let me know. Thank you. How long for T3 to peak and how long does it stay your system? 😌 please and I appreciate any knowledge

SlowDragon please comment on my situation if you're around.
Hi, I'm not able to get labs until Jan. 13, hopefully. This clinic is going under and everyone is struggling to be seen in this tiny community in the middle of nowhere. I am tired most of the time. However, I did walk the furthest today than I have in a month so maybe things are getting better

B12 sublingual
Hi, I suppose this has been addressed before, but....Is there any reason not to take sublingual B12 around the same time as ndt? Usually I space the sublingual B12 a couple hours away from ndt but figured the B12 is bypassing the digestive system & the ndt is not. My TSH, FT4&3 are all good. Since

Is ADT beneficial after castration resistance sets in?
If PSA is rising at the same doubling time (3 weeks) as it was without
ADT
(when I was Castration sensitive and did intermittent
ADT
breaks), then is it useful to keep taking
ADT
? If so, why?

moderate hypofraction RT
The other concomitant and question is
ADT
and if that also is being seen to be less of a BCRS and OS for shorter than 24 or 18 and some cases even 6 months. Is it all still controversial given research data is only 5 years so far ?

sleepiness or agitation
hi My husband suffered a brain injury in a RTA on 24/11/3023. He gained consciousness about 2.5 weeks ago. He is still in ICU being weaned off his vent with an trach. Over the last 5 days he has been not sleeping through the night and therefore being very sleepy most of the day time. When not asleep

Asymmetrical Transport of Thyroxine Across Human Term Placenta
This new study https://pure.eur.nl/en/publications/asymmetrical-transport-of-thyroxine-across-human-term-placenta is behind a paywall. I have a copy, it’s not easy to follow but essentially says little T4 crosses the full term placenta from mother to baby but T4 rapidly crosses from baby to mother.
