Health Anxiety
I ended up having
surgery
in order to keep my daughter in longer; it worked to an extent but I ended up going into labor two months early. I have struggled with health anxiety for almost 2 years now. I’m not sure how to overcome it. I’ve tried many ways.

This year there was progression of disease in the lymph nodes around pancreas, peritoneal area and colon...Very small lesions and spread making
surgery
not an option. I'm still asymptomatic thanks to Olaparib and Avastin.

Tragic
He had urgent
surgery
and thirty percent of his stomach was cut away. Over the next four weeks he had several scans and operations including the removal of part of his intestines and a stoma bag was inserted.

Newly diagnosed seeking advice on surgical options
Hi, Recently diagnosed with S3 Ovarian Cancer and have been given a choice of primary debulking
surgery
followed by 6 rounds of chemo or interval debulking with the
surgery
in the middle of 6 rounds. Worried that PDS is more risky/ radical although I’ve been told that it wouldn’t be.

Help- my 18 year old just diagnosed with grade 4
Then went to a small international hospital and they saw it as an emergency and he had
surgery
to remove the lesions. They said they would send it off and we would know whether it was malignant or not in 5 days. They stopped the
surgery
midway to tell us they suspected grade 4 glioma.

Hospital Query
Hello all, I’m awaiting heart
surgery
to repair a leaky mitral valve (mitral valve regurgitation) at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. I’d be interested and grateful to hear from anyone who has had this type of heart
surgery
at the Freeman Hospital.

My experience at "Older Persons" clinic....
Was seen very quickly for bp and weight...bp always very high at any
surgery
......it was 180/80......it:s 150/70 at home...Anyway was then called in to see the doctor.......she talked about my bp and dizziness/balance....and everything according to her is because of steroids!......

Specialist results.
I saw my Respiratory specialist at the hospital Chest clinic on Wednesday last, and not sure how I feel at the moment, he has spoken to the doctors at Barts in London and they said I would not benefit from Lung reduction
surgery
as my Emphysema is all over my lungs and I only have 40% usage in each

Terrified at thought of laparoscopy
Because of the cancer risk, GP referred me to the gynaecologist through the 2 week wait, and I was told to expect
surgery
. I have a huge fear of hospitals and anything medical.

Giant aneurysm
I've been told my case is serious and urgent, but I'm yet to get the date for an angiogram scan which will inform
surgery
. The (to be confirmed) plan for
surgery
is a clip with a bypass. I'm in this group for support, and to hear and learn from others going through the same situation ☺️
