Serum b12 V Active b12
It was 63.1 yet my recent serum b12 from my GP
surgery
was over the top of the range. Over the years I have always had top of range serum levels . Should I supplement with vitamin b12? Thank you

I'm 36 and have open heart
surgery
for sub aortic stenosis in less than 3 weeks. I'm just looking for someone that has had the same sort of
surgery
. Or even some mums around my age that have gone through it.. I'm really struggling mentally.

Post Surgery Problems : AF and Sinus Tachycardia
I have just had Mimimal Aortic Valve Replacement
surgery
. I had a tissue valve and the surgeon has described the
surgery
as a ‘text book’ success. I spent 3 days in ICU and a further 4 in a High Observation ward.

new trial uses water vapor to treat prostate cancer
”This treatment does not require chemotherapy, radiation, or
surgery
; and as such, patients are not subjected to the harsh side effects that can come from traditional cancer treatments.”

Surgery
is planned but this has required visits to an oncologist, High Risk anaesthetist , echocardiogram and Maxillofacial surgeon. As I find the whole thing pretty scary due to the risks and my general decrepitude I may actually refuse

Heart valve surgery
My mum underwent heart valve
surgery
on Monday and she's still on a ventilator 3 days after the operation and they now think she's got a chest infection. I was just wondering if anyone had been in a similar position? And how long people took to recover?

Re -gp appointment 🤦
I'm honestly wrecked, and we're told to ring the
surgery
for an appointment between 8 and 9 re the urine dipstick test, been trying for weeks to get an appointment 😡, at my old
surgery
we could fill in the form, pop the urine tube in the bag and leave in a box, I did that last year at this new

from PD to HD
So to prevent having an emergency
surgery
to go through my heard when it goes bad, he referred me for a fistula
surgery
to switch to HD. My questions 1. If you have experienced the 2 which do you prefer and why? 2.

Going into
surgery
with stage 4 clear cell cancer a week ago, I was advised they will take out all cancer they can see & will have a better understanding of spreading & the way forward.Woke up to better than that! They got it all out, easily & cleanly, full radical hysterectomy and appendix.

Colostomy
Now, am anticipating for
surgery
on Feb 27 ( in 3 weeks). My
surgery
told me there’s a 50/50 chance I will need colostomy ( tumor pressing on my rectum). Am having a very difficult time processing and accepting the idea of colostomy for life. Would you kindly share your experiences with me?

Sure theres been a few issues but the scales are very much leaning towards the massive benefits that this
surgery
brings. If anyone is facing this
surgery
or recently had it done, there is light at the end of the tunnel that creeps up on you without you really noticing it.

Low blood pressure and Endo
A week before my
surgery
during my pre-procedure appointment and after the
surgery
they took my blood pressure and it was quite low on both days. I felt so tired during those days and now I know it was due to my low blood pressure. I have stage 4 endo and feel fatigue all the time.

Heavy news today
I was supposed to have
surgery
to fuse a fractured and compressed C5. Today I was told after X-rays, scans and MRI that
surgery
is a bad idea. There isn’t enough bone to mount to.

surgery and post surgery
I had a laparoscopy in April and it was confirmed I have endometriosis but that they didn’t find much of it just scarring and adhesions, they removed adhesions as I had them sticking my bowel and fallopian tube together and also from my uterus to abdomen. They also explained how they have seen nodules

Newly Diagnosed
I had an appointment in Blackburn hospital yesterday (7th May) & they offered
surgery
to remove the prostate. A friend of mine had the
surgery
in 2013 and he is fine, he reccommends having the
surgery
. Robin Weston did his operation and my friend speaks highly of him.
