CoQ10 supplements?
With being a type 1 diabetic, CAD and on
statins
and also having low energy levels I was thinking it would be a good idea, has anyone ever had any official professional opinions about supplements. I’m thinking for me it seems like a good idea. Thoughts? 😊

The drugs to fight Covid-19 are already on the market
“We know what kinds of drugs can correct this problem, including
statins
and fibrates among others. Fibrates shut down the virus in five days. They can’t block the infection but can block secondary symptoms.”

Gastritis
I first developed gastritis a few years ago when my GP gave me
statins
. Normally eat reasonably healthily but 2 weeks ago I shared the most delicious fish & chips with friends and have suffered badly ever since.

Advice on going private
A bonus would be getting my
statins
gone or lowered. I had no idea all these years prior to joining this group how complex underactive thyroid is! Im concerned for long term health issues if my levels are incorrect. Guidance needed please!

Statin use and risk of PCa biochemical recurrence after radical prostatectomy.
Statins
did not improve overall survival. "Given the known cardiovascular benefits of
statins
, we also examined various cardiovascular outcomes in RP statin users vs. nonstatin users ... Statin use was signifcantly associated with acute coronary syndrome and strokes ..."

Nearly There
I was on amlodopine for high blood pressure,
statins
for high cholesterol and had been told that my blood sugar levels were dangerously high. I have Osteoarthritis and following a cycling accident. I had a hip replacement operation and stopped doing any exercise.

How long to lower your cholesterol
I am back at the cardiologist tomorrow after a holter and seriously expect her to want to put me on
statins
but I would like to avoid this if possible so say I made a deal with here to get it back down, if it could be done how long till you see improvement? TIA

We are cured, again (again)
It was originally envisaged that sobetirome could be used to stimulate hepatic pathways that lower cholesterol without harmful side effects and might be used in conjunction with
statins
. Obviously, they didn't bother with Sobetrirome, and just went with
statins
to lower cholesterol levels.

Timing of various medications? What do most of you do?
It seems that both
statins
and ACE inhibitors are best given at night while pain meds need to be taken a few hours before pain is at its worst.

Effective pharmacologic anti-inflammatories include low-dose aspirin, NSAIDS, especially the COX2 inhibitor celecoxib, and
statins
, among others. Overall inflammatory status can be checked with simple blood tests such as CRP and ESR among others.

Flu vaccine
the vaccine can cause muscle aches and the radiation of aches from the point or injection to the further away parts of my body seems strange, I’m wondering if the length of time these aches are lasting are down to the heart meds, or whether I’m just having an achy time for some other reason, possibly

Cholesterol and thyroid blood test results
But anyway i have been asked about using
statins
if the need arose and it got worse. But been advised about diet and lifestyle. I do eat rubbish often. Old bad habits after 30 years shift work. Another Cholesterol blood test in 6 months. Thyroid tests again in 7 weeks to make sure is okay
