Oral Progesterone (Cyproterone)
I have a
Mirena
IUD (progesterone secreting) but he would like to try increasing my dose to see if it helps with my pain and GI symptoms. I had my excision surgery back in April ‘18 and he doesn’t want to re-operate because he removed a lot of disease already.

Trying to get a diagnosis
This resulted in me being completely bull-dozed and the gynae telling me that he did not think my symptoms were gynae related and most likely IBS (even though I have no bowel type symptoms) but also said it could be the depo causing the issue and that I should change to the
mirena
coil.

Mirena removal - hormone free! Any experiences?
Any tips for
mirena
removal? I'm a little bit scared but also feel excited at the thought of seeing how my moods are, how my body reacts and seeing if there is a noticeable change in how I feel! Thanks x

Adenomyosis/Fibroids - which treatment?
The list is:
Mirena
coil - not often successful with Adenomyosis, plus don't fancy it either, so could end up back to square one and another choice to be made.

How do you deal with your pain? Working? Help me.
I'm a 24yr with Endo, was stage 4 when I went for my surgery, now have
Mirena
IUD in. I also take A long lasting pain killer (doesn't do much honestly) and when things get really bad I have to take codeine (knocks me out silly).

Has anyone had success with Mirena coil even though cerazette didn’t stop their bleeding?
I have my next appointment on Wednesday, but my consultant said previously that the next step would be to try the
Mirena
coil if cerazette didn’t work.

Going back to work.
During my lap they found a lot of endo on my right side which they have removed and also inserted the
mirena
coil. I have had an infection which I'm currently taking antibiotics for but still in pain and just started my period as well which hadn't helped.

Zoladex or Mirena Coil
So, my only options are Zoladex (the injection that puts you into temporary menopause) or the
Mirena
coil (with hormones). I had the coil before I knew I had endometriosis, but had it removed because of excruciating pain which left me practically bed bound for weeks.

Should I go back to my specialist? Help!
I initially put it down to recovering and my body getting used to the
Mirena
coil (they fitted it while I was under) but now I'm four weeks on and it's just getting worse.

Thickened uterine lining
I was prescribed Cezarette (on top of the
Mirena
coil) to control bleeding. This was for 3 months and all seemed ok but, as soon as, I stopped taking Cezarette, I have had a really painful, full blown period which has continued for over 2 weeks (although initial pains have eased a lot).

Can Mirena Coil cause Bladder infection!?
Like the tingling/Burning feeling at the end of peeing..I've read on Google that it may be caused by my
Mirena
Coil (I reluctantly had put in during my lap) they said it would help my endo..Well..the pain is a tiny lil less often, but the bleeding is constant and long..I used to have periods 4-5 days

any advice on where to go next?
Like everyone on here I have a long story, but I will explain briefly and I will quickly get to the point of my post! Constant pain in back, left side of abdomen and much worse with periods. Laparoscopy 12 years ago - inconclusive marina coil - removed due to it growing into the side of my uterus Ablation

Laparoscopy-what happened
Had
Mirena
coil fitted in Feb and although the pain and fatigue has increased, the change in my bleeding and post period sleeping has been immense. Went for laparoscopy last week however I’m yet to find out what happened (my GP is on the case for me).

Advice
About 20 minutes before my lap they mentioned having the
mirena
coil fitted during the surgery to try to help with the pain. But this was not a sufficient amount of time for me to decide something like that so i rejected the offer.

Does mirena work
Hi I’m new to this I’ve just been diagnosed with endo on Tuesday and the gyno put the
mirena
coil in but the pain since has been worse than before it went in I’m on a trial for 6-12 months to see if that helps with the pain as he didn’t want me to have a lap straight away.
