Mirena coil or pill - experiences/opinions?
Or, might it be best to opt for the
Mirena
coil? The coil sounds like one of the better options, albeit uncomfortable initially. I’m also not sure if the nausea is also partly down to the constant stream of painkillers I’m relying on to get through the days.

Interaction of Mirena Coil and Thyroid Levels
Can anyone advise on interactions between
Mirena
Coil and Thyroid Levels? I have finally got control of my Thyroid Levels with the right medication and diet, but suffering from intermuscular fibroids. My ferritin remains low, which GP thinks is linked to fibroids. Any help/ advice will be great.

Pain and cycle worsen after mirena?
Mirena
supposedly stops bleeding and pain as they claim right? For me it made things worsen or is it just my endo worsening? Any advice or tips or similar experiences? Thanks for reading. 😊

He did mention that regardless of the outcome, I'll need to have either the
Mirena
coil or the injection to manage bleeding. I don't want the coil as I'm not sexually active and it makes me feel uncomfortable, so most likely I'll go for the injection.

What’s wrong with me?!?!!!!
I had the
Mirena
coil fitted too and been told to expect pain but this can’t just be from that?! I honestly don’t know what to do next. I’ve fought for an MRI and it’s happening next week but it’s only looking at my back because I said the pain radiates there.

Pain with Mirena after 3 years
I had the
mirena
coil fitted at the same time as a hysteroscopy 3 years ago to treat pain and heavy bleeding. After an initial period of 7-8 months settling time, where I had daily spotting, the pain and bleeding settled.

Merina Coil reviews?
But at this point it seems like my only option and that I will have to try it… I have nobody else to talk to about this, so I was wondering if anyone had any advice, or any thoughts on the
mirena
coil?

Hi New here. I've had the Mirina Coil since 2015, it was due to be changed however its gone over thanks to Covid.. I went for a smear last week and the nurse informed me that the hormone will be either low or finished so need it changed ASAP. I have been bleeding A LOT lately and having all sorts

What's next after my laparoscopy and follow up appointment?
I feel a bit lost now and the only long term care I have been given is the
mirena
coil and to 'keep an eye' on any pain and symptoms. I'm not sure where to go from here now - any advice please?

Coil Removal due to Mental Health
Hi I’m turning to here because I feel like I have nowhere else to go I’m 20 with a one year old and I had the
Mirena
coil fitted mid February. Physically everything was fine apart from mild cramping, however it wasn’t the one I wanted!!

Help Needed Before Appointment! (adenomyosis)
After a long diagnosis journey, being fobbed off and trying what felt like every pill/ injection under the sun, I agreed to have the
mirena
coil in october 2020. Like so many others on this site I have had a horrendous time pushing to be taken seriously.

Another gynae refferal no help!
I’ve had the
mirena
coil for 4years, bleeding during/after sex and pain during/after. Constant ache in lower right tummy. Was told cervix is fine smear clear and that around 20% of women there’s no reason for it! I pushed for another refferal and mentioned a lap, gp was happy to refer.

Can the Mirena Coil cause fatigue/depression soon after insertion?
The
Mirena
was placed in during surgery. It may be due to the op recovery, but I am feeling severely fatigued/groggy/woozy and could sleep all day. But Wondering, could this be
Mirena
side effects ?

Bleeding on the mirena coil
In 2019 I had a pain flare which lasted 6 months before I was started on amitriptyline and was given the
Mirena
coil to help my pain. I've had my
Mirena
coil for just over a year now. The last few months I've been having increased endo and cramping pain, and a new nipping type of internal pain.
