New member, question about iron and rls
Hello, hope someone can help me, I've been given ferrous sulfate tablets 200mg three times a day as I have rls symptoms and a ferritin level of 27. I was just wondering how long it takes on these tablets for ferritin levels to show any improvement and to get to the recommended level needed to improve

FT3 & FT4 on Levo and NDT
Dear all, since my last post I have felt extremely unwell. Granted my Ferritin is low again at 15 (increased ferrous fumarate to x 3 per day). I asked doctor last week to test T4 and T3 and explained situation re thyroid meds! So the lab tested them, as follows: FT3 3.3 range 3.1 - 6.8 FT4 11.6 range

Private vs NHS?
so my GP reluctantly agreed to prescribe
ferrous
sulphate
. A concurrent (reluctant) & recent referral to the Sleep Clinic due to disordered sleep, exhaustion, memory issues etc seconded these findings & recommended boosting iron to the higher levels (150?)

Day 4 - Should I remove this part of the dressing?
Today I have removed the dressing as it was starting to feel a bit twitchy. I bathed in Epsom salts and removed the outer dressing and the blue gauze underneath it with no problems. However I’m left with a small bit of dressing tight around the ring (pic included). I’m not sure if I should remove

Over-medicated or Having Low Cortisol on Thyroid-S?
I just started taking Thyroid-S after being hypothyroid for two months from a bad batch of NDT. Maybe I need to give Thyroid-S more time, or maybe I need to treat the adrenals first, but I thought I'd share my experience on it so far when I take 2.5 Grains. I used to take 2.5 Grains of WP, Nature-Throid

Not sure I should even be posting in this group now ☹️🙄
Well I have not run since October 16th now. First there was the nasty virus and chest infection that would not clear - over 7 weeks!!! And then the niggly hip pain that has been on and off since the summer but has got steadily worse not better. I’d had exercises to do - no better, painkillers-no help

It's always a waiting game with this fibro, for appointments, to see what new pain comes and how bad. Anyway I've been in sooo much pain the last few weeks, I dont know if it's the cold weather. I do

Advice please?
Completed W7R1 today but from waking up this morning I had a little twinge at the top of my thigh. Felt like a trapped nerve type twinge. Did my warm up walk and it seemed to ease off so started my 25mins run. Was ok for the first 20 mins but then started to feel the twinge. I wouldn’t say it was sore

Exhausted
Hi all, hope you are keeping as well as can be. I'm truly worn out. Here is my typical day....... I go to bed anywhere from 11pm-1am. I play games on my phone until I drop off, not half hour later I'm up in agony with my feet kicking off. Tea and ciggie, back to bed, this happens all night every night

In what conditions (other than Hasimotos) are TG Antibodies raised (but TPO AB's are not)? Also results interpretation please.
In what conditions (other than Hasimoto's) are TG Antibodies raised please? I'm struggling to obtain a clear answer on this. Below are my MediChecks full thyroid panel results; the MediChecks GP stated that my results indicate Hasimoto's, although my TSH indicates my thyroid function is "fine" currently

Got circumcision on 7th October everything has healed except the frenulum part , i have some caked blood on top of the stitches there but when I try to clean it a little more blood seems to be appearing so I have left it alone , so my question is should I remove the caked blood or should I leave it until

Wiggle Manchester Half Marathon
A fairly standard Manchester morning. Leaden skies, drizzle turning to rain turning to drizzle. A little cool. Very light wind. Masses of people everywhere. Up at 7am. Well, 7.10am. Tummy still full of Lahra’s home-made macaroni cheese, done specially for me. Kit on. I’m wearing my favourite shorts

Blood re-test results - all opinions welcome. Increasing TSH.
In March I had low folate and ferritin, for which I have been taking Folic Acid and
Ferrous
Sulphate
, and these are much improved as is my haemoglbin. Doctor said I could stop taking these now but may be a good idea, as a pescatarian, to take for one month out of every 4 or so.
