Haemoglobin levels and blood transfusion while on Docetaxel
Did anyone need a blood transfusion while on
Docetaxel
? I'm 3 rounds in and my haemoglobin level are down to 80. I'm being advised a transfusion would be the most likely next course of action.

Cabazitaxel,Cytoxan or Comfort Care after dismissal from Lu PSMA Vision Trial
Since then, we have been through Provenge, Zytiga, Xstandi,
Docetaxel
(5 sessions), and he still is receiving Lupron and Xgeva. Out of all the treatments, only the Docetaxel's side effects became unbearable and I am quite certain he would have died if he stayed on it.

Prostate Cancer and Prostititis
Started
docetaxel
in March. My sixth chemo is scheduled July 12 th. My PSA was down to 0.155 after fourth chemo and up to 0.178 at fifth chemo. A slight increase I know. Never the less, an increase. I've started having symptoms I had before with prostititis and ca. Child. Pain left lower abd.

interesting article in JAMA
A total of 16.4% of the patients had undergone prostatectomy or received radiotherapy for localized disease, and 10.7% had received previous
docetaxel
therapy; 62.7% had high-volume disease, and 37.3% had low-volume disease.

Docetaxel and breathing problems?
After first
Docetaxel
/Cabazitaxel infusion - 10 days later, I couldn't breath and was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia. Was there for 4 days .... I had my second infusion 14 days ago and am still having a hard time catching my breath.

The first cycle of Docetaxel+Zometa+Lucrin .. What should I expect next? PSA went up...
-The First week after treatment was rough… -The first few days , the fatigue, poor appetite and sleep were difficult. Everything tasted bland. -On the 4th and 5th day after the infusion, every single of my bones were aching so badly and your heart was pounding like a drum beat. The headache would not

Dora phase 3 study when zytiga is working
The Dora phase 3 is randomized , either radium 223 with
Docetaxel
or
Docetaxel
alone for 30 weeks . They will need to stop his zytiga before the Dora study . 1. Will zytiga still be very effective after the Dora study ( chemo or chemo with radium223)?

Long Overdue Update
First dose of
docetaxel
started in ICU and he survived to be discharged, wasn’t expected to live six months. 9 rounds of
docetaxel
, taken off my MD Anderson. Nadir was 2.28 I believe. Two months later PSA rising again and Xtandi started. Nadir .78, but after 4 months PSA started rising again.

Update on my Dad: Liver Mets, next steps?
The onco said straight up that he will give my Dad 2 more
docetaxel
treatments and see what happens. If they don't help, he will recommend hospice. I'm just blindsided and kind of lost. My Dad is optimistic, which is good.

Docetaxel or Xtandi
The options presented to me were either Xtandi followed by Provenge if Xtandi is effective, or
Docetaxel
followed by Provenge if the
Docetaxel
is effective.

PSA has increased.
After
docetaxel
and ADT, two years ago, I had my PSA level <0.04. My last PSA test, one week ago, my PSA is 0.50. Next week I visit my oncologist. May I have to be worried? Which is your experience?

Positive results from chemo (Docetaxel) & some questions
Apart from experiencing fatigue, diarrhea, joint pains for about a week after chemo infusion (
docetaxel
/taxotere), hubby is tolerating it very well. PSA has gone down from 2.2 prior to chemo to 0.65 just before our 5th cycle. He goes swimming, workouts and does infrared sauna almost everyday.

Docetaxel
My first session took me 10 days to the hospital for an important sepsis. The second one I made 8 days ago. The only side effect has been a great fatigue that started on day 3. Today on day 8 it persists. A lot of weakness, fatigue and thick head. It is normal?
