Lower Dose Docetaxel
I am about to begin chemo with
Docetaxel
. My Med Onc uses lower dose, more cycles. Will have 50 whatevers (do not yet know the dosage terminology) every 2 weeks for 12 cycles, rather than the more common 75 every 3 weeks for 6 cycles. Anyone out there been down this road?

Carbo Platin
Hi everyone. So Paul was in hospital for a week from last Tuesday until yesterday. This was because his pain medication was changed from MST to Methadone. The first couple of days were difficult, but now he is much better and this chronic abdominal pain - which is not cancer-related - is much better.

Oligometastatic Prostate Cancer
The CHAARTED study looked at chemo use up front [1]: "... the combination of standard ADT and six cycles of
docetaxel
resulted in significantly longer overall survival than that with standard ADT alone in men with hormone-sensitive metastatic prostate cancer.

Couldn't Do Fourth Round Of Docetaxol: Husband Admitted To Hospital Tomorrow
Hi everyone. So today we couldn't do round 4 of Docetaxol. There was no doctor at the day ward so we are not sure what the reason was. Something was wrong with the bloods. The nurse said "liver is up so the professor wants to hold off", whatever that means. We saw the palliative care doctor, though,

Post chemo and my condition is stable (phew!)
I finished 6 rounds of
Docetaxel
in late June and recently had a CT and Bone Scan to see where things are at. The good news is that I have not had any progression, I have the same number of bone mets as I had in January.

Seventeen of 42 patients with PET-positive results suggestive of advanced metastatic disease were treated with either ADT (15/17) or

chemotherapy after induction of ADT (2/17).

Zytiga + Statins in CRPC
CONCLUSIONS: Contrary to our initial hypothesis, there was a trend toward longer (rather than shorter) AA duration in statin users in the entire DFCI cohort and in the enzalutamide- and
docetaxel
-naïve JHU patients.

Things Very Difficult One Week In Third Cycle Of Docetaxol

MSSC - Spinal Cord Compression
He has started ADT (degarelix to start but now Lupron) along with chemo (
docetaxel
) and has been enrolled onto the STAMPEDE trial. Gets the rare hot flush, but all in all you'd never really guess he was unwell at all.

At The End Of Second Round Docetaxol
Hi everyone. Now we are at the end of the second round. Tomorrow we go in for the third infusion. Paul has been very fatigued throughout this second round. Second Cycle Of Docetaxol So far
Hi everyone. My husband had his second round of Docetaxol on Monday. He has been feeling extremely tired since Monday. We have to be careful not to do too much. On Wednesday evening, his niece Suzanne who is currently over from the states dropped in for a visit and what was supposed to be a short visit

Xtandi is costly in the Philippines
Uro-onc wanted to try
Docetaxel
but my dad wanted to postpone chemo and instead is leaning towards Xtandi which is another option. But it is quite costly and we cant afford it. I was reading articles from the internet and they say that Canadian pharmacies give Xtandi for a lower price?
