Prostate Cancer and Prostititis

I have PCa with 6 bone mets. Started lupron in Jan 2019. PSA 14.7. Started docetaxel in March. My sixth chemo is scheduled July 12 th. My PSA was down to 0.155 after fourth chemo and up to 0.178 at fifth chemo. A slight increase I know. Never the less, an increase. I've started having symptoms I had before with prostititis and ca. Child. Pain left lower abd. Slight pain in penis. Freq urination. I'll have a PSA drawn on Thursday before chemo on Friday. Will discuss with MO at that time. My question. Has anyone had ca and prostititis at the same time or is my prostate making little ca babies?

Welcome to the club. No one really wants to be here but shit happens. My doctor said at the start that there was no reason to be in pain and addiction would not be a problem. At your stage in my treatment they put me on oxecodone which I didn’t tolerate, then went to fentenyl patch’s. Loved those. Your body is going to change a lot, the lupron will shrink your Willy, give you man boobs, and put you back into puberty. Hang in there it’s a long battle if your lucky. 35 months and counting here. 🙏

Getting 6th docetaxel round today. PSA last 9week at 3 week intervals:

0.155

0.178

0.175 today

MO says last chemo and is ordering PET scan and bone scan in three weeks.

Will start me on Xtandi. And appt with RI after scans.

Anyone with experience with Lupron and xtandi after chemo?
