Allergic reaction
I went for my first IV chemo today doxorubicin pegylated liposomal. Unfortunately within 20 minutes I had an allergic reaction, tingling in the mouth, swelling and hives. The nurses were great and the doctor came to see me. Had an ECG and medications. One has wiped me out fernargon. The doctor wanted

First Esophageal Cancer & now Gastric Cancer
Hi to all, I am a 14 year survivor of an Ivor-Lewis Open Esophagectomy. Unfortunately, after many months of throwing up and being unable to keep anything down, several EGD's, an EUS, a CT scan and then the one that we all know means business -- the Pet Scan. I was delivered the news that I now have

Good News
It seems unfair to share my good news as I know many on this site are unsure how there diagnosis will go, as I was too at the beginning of my journey. But it is also good to read how many have good results. I was diagnosed with stage 3 Ovarian cancer over two years ago now. I had a hysterectomy, six

What do you think?
I’ve been on Lupron and Xgeva since 2014 and have had many other treatments along the way. As my PSA rose I found my best treatment was Xtandi. I had pretty good results from 2017 to 2020 , then my PSA moved upward again. Looks like I’m going to fail with Nubeqa, which I have been on for 2 1/2 months

updated scans post chemo

His third round will be near Christmas and they completed scans to compare to his pre chemo scans. His full body bone scans state the following “Diffuse skeletal metastatic

Verzenio
I have stage 3 lobular cancer. So far had surgery, radiation and currently on Letrozole. I am considered high risk. Did not do chemo because it is not always effective with lobular cancer. Oncologist wants to put me on Verzenio but I am reluctant due to side effects. I am 68 and a full time teacher and

Do Sulforaphane, Melatonin, and Cayenne Pepper work?
I've been a lurker for a while. First time post. I have had a radical prostatectomy, chemo (docetaxel - 6 infusions 3 weeks apart), radiation (38 doses) and Lupron (18 months). I am done with all treatment for now. PSA minimum was 0.02, now at 0.04. I've been reading a lot about sulforaphane (BROQ)

Those being treated with Eligard, Erleada and Docetaxel
Have been taking Eligard and Erleada, my Doctor wants to add Docetaxel Chemo. Would like to hear about others being treated the same way!

Be Careful Out There (UK)
As temperatures fall in UK I listened to warnings about falls on ice and made a mental note. I have been trying to walk every day while on chemo (carbo/Caelyx for 3rd recurrence). i was about 200 metres from home yesterday when I looked down and realised the pavement which had looked fine was actually

continuing back pain
I was diagnose with 2b Ovarian Cancer in April 22. I had surgery and 6 rounds of Chemo. I have a very supportive team . I have had an MRI , CT and spinal x-ray all have shown degenerative changes to my spine. There is no evidence of recurrence. My CA125 is 13. The problem is I’m consumed with anxiety

What to do?
Hi All, At the end of August 2023 I completed 8 rounds of docetaxel. On 9/13/23 my PSA was 5.7, 10/30/23 8.25 and 11/27/23 it’s now 16.72. This year has been a shit show. I know my MO will put me on pluvicto. Here’s my quandary: I am a single gay man. Parents gone. No siblings. All I have to really

Sudden onset of severe leg pain
Yesterday my husband was strolling about the house as usual. Last night he experienced debilitating pain in his right thigh to the point he collapsed when trying to put weight on it, and then could not sleep because of the pain. He has needed a walker for even a few steps. We visited his PCP today

BAT trial update
I commenced the trial about 2 months ago and I have now had 2 cycles of treatment consisting of testosterone injections and carboplatin infusions. 5 days ago I had my first CT and bone scans and the trial leader tells me my 3 detectable rib metastases are 'stable'. The stable assessment is good enough
