Cortisone Shot
I am getting ready to have a
cortisone
shot in my lower back and i was wondering if anyone else has had this before? I am not sure what to expect but the hopes are to be able to not have any back pain for at least a little while.

Piriformis Muscle
I just got a
cortisone
shot in my lower back which seemed to help the inflammation but now my piriformis muscle is acting up. I am inquiring about the injection done for this and if it has helped anyone.

Here we go again! Next stop - private?
It's been a very disappointing & stressful day. I saw an NHS Endo in July this year, he was nice enough but I didn't get the vibe that he was going to be a lot of help from the beginning. But I managed to get some more blood tests ordered from him with a follow up appointment scheduled for today. Well

The
cortisone
has sufficiently masked bursitis & tendonitis to enable me to distinguish PMR pain as a separate entity, making reduction less guess work and more science! I think having a young new consultant with him seems to have done wonders to his morale!

What now...any ideas?
So I checked that out and discovered DHEA and pregnenolone seem to be the standard for adrenal issues, and mixed opinions over
cortisone
. I need vit d3 as well don't I? Oh and I am upping my protein because I realized it's way too low. Sorry for this long blah.

They have recommended me to try ampitryptline for 2 weeks but if that doesn't give relief to have a

epidural? Has anyone had a cortisine epidural? Effective? Safe? Who does

Has anyone managed to stay off thyroid meds after starting nutri adrenal extra and nutri thyroid?
Hi all, I am 12 days off thyroxine 75mcg and 7 days into taking NAX. I increased to 2 NAX a couple of days ago. I undertook the Genova adrenal saliva test that showed stage 3 adrenal fatigue with 2 low cortisol levels in the day (just under) and a low DHEA to cortisol ratio. I hit the skids 2 weeks ago

Palidromic arthritis
I have had
cortisone
injections in nearly every joint of my body and found some relief but it doesn't last very long. I have been told by my surgeon I have got 5-8 yrs max before I need to start having replacements, I am only 35. Has anyone got the same problems?

Cortisone instead of Nutri Adrenal supplements? I'm getting heart palpitations and a tightness in my throat & chest each morning when I wake
Dr P did mention the possibility of maybe taking
cortisone
, although I don't think he wants me to ideally. (I'm female and 35). He also told me about Dr Wilson's special stuff - anyone tried this? Any comments and answers gratefully received! Thank you and keep well everyone, Charlie x

Update on hospital appointment
He gave me a
cortisone
injection under local anaesthetic yet again, in the hope that it will bring some respite before I am offered a nerve block in July. Thirdly, I went to my GP for the results of the liver scan and blood tests.

Poss fibro/cfs
I was started on hydro
cortisone
but after about 3 weeks I collapsed into a huge heap. I ached from my neck to my feet so bad the I thought I'd been hit by a bus. Then terrible pain in hands and feet, sounds amplified so loud that I couldn't stand them. The same with bright lights.

Severe foot pain for over 2 years- in my 30's and can't run errands
The joint itself doesn't hurt normally, but hurts now after having ultrasound therapy and
cortisone
shot. The
cortisone
was over a week ago. The physical therapy several weeks ago.

First NHS Endo visit
Well how did it go, ok he didn't discharge me outright so that's good! He did ask some pertinent questions such as family medical history and as far as I know no-one in my immediate family has had any known thyroid issues but my mum has rheumatoid arthritis as did my Dad so the likelihood is that I've
